Depends on what I'm after, but dakkadakka is by far the most widely useful I've seen.

Oh wait that cant be right

It's kinda sad that nobody has said Games Workshop yet, but I guess that's a testement to the lack of content they have on their site. Dakka Dakka is a great site and so are Beasts of War and Miniwargaming. I have to go with Dakka Dakka since I go to this site far more often than the other websites previously listed. I just think that the community and the amount of content Dakka Dakka has are second to none.

Very good for teaching fluff to those who are too cheap/poor/lazy/all of the previous to be informed on fluff by other means.

Not always 100% accurate/up to date though, so watch that.

On the whole it's a very good resource

Yeah...um, there's a reason we're all members here, and not posting on warseer, or BoLS, or BoK....no offense, but kind of a pointless question here. We've all answered it simply by being here. That's like asking somebody "what do you like better-pepsi or coke" when they're currently picking up the pack of pepsi instead of the coke...

Agreed with everything but the pepsi... that man was forced to take it when he really wanted coke!

A lot of websites for 40k are good, but the best are Dakka and Lexicanum. 1d4chan is funny to read every now and then.

I'd say the only reason to go to GW's site would be to check the FAQs out, and that's only an afterthought for them. For me, I don't even go there to check the prices or to shop since they have, in all their wisdom, set the prices sky-high for Sweden (some 25-40% above UK) that I go to maelstrom in order to shop. I'd place Forgeworld far above GW's own site.

For me, it's between Dakka Dakka, Lexicanum and Miniwargaming.

Other than this site, Miniwargaming is awesome for battle reports etc
