Hello!
I decided to try a Kan wall, since I heard it is good  . I play againt friends who are: Necrons, Eldar, IG, Grey Knights, CSM and Chaos deamons.
I should add that all games are friendly and not competitive.
HQ:
Big Mek
KFF
Total: 85
Elites:
6 Nobs
Pain boy
Big Choppa
2 Powerklaws
Waagh! banner
Bosspole
(they all have different wargear  )
2*5 Lootas
Total: 375
Troops:
16*2 Boys with shootas
2 Nob leaders
2 Powerklaws
2 Bosspoles
2 big shootas
Total: 282
Heavy Support:
3*2 Killa Kans
4 Grotzookas
2 Skorchas
Total: 260
This army reaches 1002 points, wich my friends are ok with. The plan is simple: The mek is attached to one of the boy squads and he provides cover for the Kans.
The Kans cover the boys and they all shoot at the anemy while marching forward.
The Lootas are placed behind the rest of the army and will shoot at transports and infantry.
The Nobs will try to attack Grey knight Terminators and vehicles. I have never tried this tactic before so it would be great if someone gave me additional tips to my strategy.

Seems like a lot of Nobz for a lower point list. I run 6 Nobs in a 2k point list and that's almost overkill (granted they are with Ghaz or a Warboss). You also didn't list Cybork bodies on them, if you aren't taking those, you should drop the bosspole Nob and use the points for some invulns otherwise they are going to die easily and lose combat. Also, Rokkits are a good alternative to the Grotzookas. If you are playing Grey Knights and he has termies, Kustom Mega Blastas are good for the AP 2 forcing invulns on them.
Other than that, it's definitely a Kan Wall

I will be facing Grey Knight Terminators and I found that boys does not do enough damage to them as i attacked them with a mob of 20 boys and one PK. The PK managed to kill one while the boys only died. I have never tried thi list so will the Kans and Shoota Boys be enough power to destroy GK and such? Also, should i charge my kans and boys into melee when i can?

Dunno much about the GK termies, but I'd say more auto kill kans. Where are the rokits? I've been impressed with the GZ Kan in my list, less so with the Scorchas. I too think sinking lots of points into a big nob squad seems to be a shot magnet. I feel your pain with the "fearless" boys getting culled like sheep, and have been considering smaller squads in favor of more Nob w/PKs and BPs. Using a little math I've also found that bigshootas are superior to rokits when talking anti-infantry, but are usless for anti-tank... duh. I've consistently been disappointed with my lootas too. Could be my terrible rolling and have been pleasantly surprised with the BM w/SAG - which IMHO is a superior anti-infantry HQ. I mean, possible insta-kills and possible mishaps?! What fun!

Gotta remember that playing Orks there are 4 things to come to peace with:
1. Lots of them will die. If you don't like removing models from the table, play a different army.
2. Low Ballistic skill (Not counting the Kans which are BS 3). Shooting Orks only work when there are LOTS of shots being fired. So, with that, Lootas, Shootas, and Big Shootas are the staple (granted there's not much else)
3. Losing in CC is going to happen frequently. With the terrible saves we Orkses get, wounds pile up quick.
4. Very little AV 14 resistance
And Then, 1 thing to deal with all of the above:
Bring. More. Orks.
My 2k Kan Wall looks like this:
2x Big Mek w/ KFF
9x Kans w/Rokkits/KMB/ or Grotzookas depending on how I'm feeling.
90 Boyz (3 squads of 30 shoota boyz, 1 nob with a PK in each one and big shootas)
3x 5 Man Squads of Lootas - Pops low armor and light infantry
3x 1 man squads of Deffkoptas ( TL Rokkits/Buzzsaws) -- These stay in reserve and outflank armor (usually pisses people off because outflank gets the rear armor  )
Notice how there's no Nobz other than in the Boyz Squads.
Only thing I have trouble with is AV14 (Land Raiders) which is pretty much a problem every Ork player will encounter in a Footslog list, but at 1000 points, you probably wont see it (If you do, just stay away from it and ignore it).

I agree. Drop those Nobz, they should be in lists led with a warboss. at a 1000pts try to squeeze in 1 mek, 3 squads of 20boyz with pk, big shoota. 2 5 man squads of lootas. one or two koptas both with buzzsaws, then as many kans as you can. depending on the deployment and if i get first turn i usually turboboost my koptas and auto hit rear armour! suicide koptas! at this point level you can use this to pop rhinos, preds, other ork vehicles, anything DE and then at point use your loots to widdle down the enemy range and make them come to you! then charge them good and proper!

I say use KMB on those Kans, it is the best weapon against 2+ ( rokkits are only AP3 ) and for only 5 points more it is str 8 ( like a rokkit ). I agree with everybody the Nobz are big point eaters in 1K lists, I use 5 in a 2k point list. With those Nobz dropped maybe you can get 3 more kans and 1 more group of lootas? Then that would be a shooty Ork build

Whadya think about smaller units? I know they are less survivable, but I dislike the whole "Fearless" rule. I think it's more of a hinderance.

Playing orks you should be ready to lose units. They are not SM. You WILL lose a good amount every game. They have terrible saves, which is why you're using the kans for the 4+ save.

Exactly. They are cheap for a reason, they have awesome stats for such a cheap unit and have the equivalent of T-shirts.

I would sort out the kans a bit, I normally do one third of my kans with rokkits, all the rest with grotzookas. Rokkitz take advantage of BS3, and grotzookas are plain cheese in small numbers.
I don't really like nobs, replace with boyz by far. They would get annihilated by GK termies, specially without 5++s.
Whatever you do with grey night terminator draigowing, you are going to be screwed as an ork player. I have had wipeout on turn 3 with GK lists, not with a very competetive army I give you that though.
Dodgywop@: You have nine strength ten kans for AV14, that has to count for something.
Allyourbase@: KMBs are overpriced, they are in fact a whole five points more, or 45 points for your whole army. all these 5pt upgrades add up, yaknow. Orks pulverize anything with a 2+/5++ anyway, if you get enough attacks on a termy, it is gonna take it down at some point. Anyway all your kans have power attacks and strike first, as termies almost always have I1. Plus PK nobs. The only reason you would want to take them is if a Draigowing player is banging at your door, but then, as an ork player, you are pretty much screwed anyway.

Very true, but having a 6" movement vs a LR's 12 (and with PoTMS in some cases) it's still better to just ignore them IMO.
Also the comment about having smaller units -
1. As stated before Orks die easily, you need large units to not get tabled.
2. Ork Leadership isn't the best, and you will lose combat often. So if you fail leadership and someone gets a sweeping advance, there goes your whole unit. Better to just stay Fearless.
3 1/2. You're an Ork. Orkses don't run from da 'oomies. I started playing Orks because of their lore so a lot of my bias comes from Ork fluff. Playing an Ork army, there's going to be a downside to anything you use. ( SAG, Zogwort, Stormboyz, "Don't Press Dat", etc....) They're just a fun army to play that can stay competitive relatively easy. It's always fun to never truly know what's about to happen when you roll the dice

I am not saying kans should have 3 KMB for 3 Kans (I should have made that clear)
2 rokkit 1 KMB for each group (KMB is only a rokkit with AP2 so I do not consider it the sacrilege different weapons on same Kan groupings), its only 15 points extra points if you run 3 groups of Kans. @ 1k point list you don’t run into mass 2+ like you said. But if you run into a deathstar list you can at least die with some wounds done
