So the concept is this. I want to make (and am about 75% done with collecting) a GK inquisitor army that will double as characters and models for Dark Heresy. I'm leaning towards radical. But here is the kicker. I don't want to repeat any models. So every model will have a unique feel and hopefully capture the individuality of a inquisitors war band. NO GK spacemarine models can be used FYI. EXAMPLE: So if I use ONE Cadian I will not use any more as they will seem too similar. The only exception to this are the servitors (till a better idea pops up for one of them) and death cult assassins, who I want 2 of to be twins. I am looking for conversion ideas, interesting models that might fit the profile, out of print models that I might be able to track down...ect. I was inspired to make this army after I made this Photoshop image a while ago.



Here is the army I am intending to build. I have many of the models already. This list is meant for a campaign and is not meant to be competitive. I have played two games with it and am satisfied with how it plays. It has fun tricks and a ton of crazy rules and can hold its own. If I get destroyed I will have just as much fun, if not more. So please no tactical advise. This is more of a show case army anyway leaning strongly on what I think looks cool.

So on to the army list. I only mentioned a few models used as I am not married to any of them and I can always switch them out for better/ cooler models.

GK 1750[i][u]

HQ: Cortez (Actual model but might want to convert or replace as the army is radical after all)
HQ: Inquisitor with deamon weapon and psyker (Kal jerico with some modifications)

TR: 9 Psykers with 1 acolyte in Rhino
TR: 5 Acolytes with 2 melta guns in Rhino
TR: 4 death cult assassins, 4 crusaders, 1 deamon host, 1 arco flagelent
TR: 3 acoyltes, 2 servitors with Multi meltas
TR: 1 jeckero weapon smith, 2 psykers and 2 acolytes. (jeckero actual model, 1 RT psyker model with big head,)

EL: 1 techmarine with rad and psykout grenades (Using the tech priest engineseer model, think he fits better with the theme)
EL: 1 eversor assassin (actual model)
EL: 1 Vindicare assassin (Actual model)

FA: 1 Storm raven - With AC, MM, and hurricane bolters (Actual model)
FA: 1 Storm raven - With AC, MM, and hurricane bolters (Actual model)

HV: Psyrifle man Dreadnought (Actual model, till a better idea comes)
HV: Dreadknight with sword and heavy psycannon. (converted, see below)

So here is one thing that is planned already. (But if you have a better idea or can build on any of these please comment.)

1. The dread knight will have an Inquisitor in it instead of a GK. It just seems to make more scene having a INQ in a DK then a GKT. I mean who needs a serious power up to mess with deamons, an Inquisitor or a GK? Might not be as much hate for them if they were made this way to begin with. I am thinking of using the Forgeworld Inquisitor in termie armor for this. Might mostly enclose him as well.

2. Am thinking about adding some aliens. All I can think of that might make sense are eldar, dark eldar, tau and kroot. Plus I am not sure where they would go. But I like the idea of a helmetless firewarrior with a melta gun. So any ideas here would be great. I am not limiting myself to these races but am looking for conversion Ideas.

3. In 2k or more points I might add some acolytes with storm bolters for fun. Thoughts?

4. Will be getting Inquisition doors from forgeworld for the Rhinos and extra Inquisition nubbins for the Stormravens.

So please help a guy out and toss some ideas into the pot. Price is no object as I am patient and can save for a while to acquire any parts/models I need to see the ideas become reality. I am looking for models that will be legal in GT tournaments. Pictures of what you are talking about would be greatly appreciated but not necessary.

I will post pictures with progress if I get enough help.

If you want someone to do the work for you, I'd love to do some conversions with gray knights! I could definitely help with the alien aspect. Maybe one holding an eldar by the neck, raised off the ground?
