I wanted to know if the miniatures for sisters of battle would ever be updated, especially with all the resin coming out whats going to happen to the practicly all metal sisters of battle army?

Well, they're supposed to be getting a new codex (a real one, not this White Dwarf half-measure stuff) some time within the next year and I thought I had read that they had a lot of the design work done for plastic models.

Yea, something about the cloth sculpt being to thick or something?

They will most likely get a bunch of new plastic models when the codex drops.

Even if you don't believe the rumours, Jes Goodwin has confirmed working on Sororitas plastics a while ago.

And it SHALL

BE

GLORIOUS!

Seriously enough, however. If Jess Goodwin is doing the new Sisters models, they will most likely be fantastic.

Whats going to happen?

They get updated to plastic and finecost, then get a revamped army book. Same as GK, same as Necrons.....

The plastics looked pretty good from that picture of the sprues that was running around out there.

In case you missed it, GW's trying to get out of the metal minis business,

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

GW better hope nothing bad happens to Jes Goodwin? Does anyone else even design models anymore?

Why would you want someone other then Jes Goodwin to design models?

Cause he could get hit by one of those weird double decker british buses! Or perhaps they need to clone him a few times

In any case they sure do price them as if Jes had sculpted them all. Even if they look like something you'd rather flush down the toilet than pay money for (Beastmen, the entire non-Khorne Chaos Daemons line).

There was a rumor they might go to 5 a box for $25 which would make the plastics as expensive as the metals.

That was the last I heard.

We can only hope that they follow more the Dark Eldar line of pricing.

Not that DE are cheap by any means, just less horrifically expensive

But they are too damn pretty to let go, so i'm back to having three armies again after months of self denial..

Well, GW took it away. Literally, lol, they nerfed faith in the WD codex.

One would assume by the time the plastics arrive a few more annual price rises will have happened too...

I'm not much of a fan of the preview/leaks we've seen, but in honesty I'm not looking forward to the codex. Witch Hunters were a fun army to build with, and whilst the WD took away our toys with a slap on the wrists, but gave hope that we'd get a nice BA/GK style codex a few years later, I just don't expect the same to happen.

I suspect it will end up like the daemonettes, where people loved or hated them, but across the entire army. Rather than just WH players who like the organ exorcists, and those who don't.

I don't think it's too far fetched to assume that faith will remain single acts with no recycling, and that our wargear will remain limited. Likely we'll gain some form of "novice" units, and a few other gimmicks like the penitent engines.

Um, where? There have been no SOB model picture leaks, hell we haven't even seen Necron stuff yet.

I can't. I can only seem to find a DA picture right now. It included veils. I'm sure someone like Melissa would know more
