I just completed my guardian squad including with weapon platform. I did not glue a particular weapon onto the platform. I did this because all of the weapons fit into a slit and will stay attached without any glue, and I want to be able to change out the weapons.

But the problem is, the weapons platform has a very thin column that you glue to the round base to give it a hovering appearance. This makes it very fragile, so when I change out the weapons it always comes unglued from its base. Even sometimes when it falls over it can pop off the base.

Am I missing something here? Is there a different way I was suppose to assemble the weapon platform? It just seems like there would have been a circular hole in the base for the little rod on the bottom of the weapon platform to fit into so that it was not so delicate.

It would be great if anyone has any advice on what they did to fix this. Thanks

I assume you're talking about the clear skimmer base, in which case it's a total bitch to get some things to stand up on it without gluing it.

What kind of base does it come on? A clear round flying base or a bigger more traditional black plastic one? If it's the latter, it has a number of holes guided on the underside of the base. You can use these to guide a hole that you drill (easy enough to do with a knife) and stick the peg in that way. This should solve your problem!

Plastic platform from the guardians?

40mm base. Centre hole, drill it out large enough to fit the peg into (it's a stepped peg. should only go in about 1mm). Apply a modicum of glue, push together.

They stay put.
