what warhammers are there that have names, i know of the "Godsplitter" but are there other named battlehammers? and are there different types or patterns, just like bolters?

basically list any hammer-based lore you can think of...

or some really good names for warhammers, i'm thinking of making a short story and that's the main characters weapon of choice and i'd like it if his weapon had a name.

Thanks

There's the Fist of Dorn, but unless you plan on killing off Lysander, you can't have it.

There's Hammer of the Nameless that the DoW 2 commander used.
I'd personally just make a backstory for your character first and name the weapon appropriately. This will make your weapon revolve around the character rather than the character revolve around the weapon, which should make for more convincing fluff.

Well i just did what i should have done before even starting this thread... but lexicanum lists the Fist of Dorn and the "Foehammer" which has a nifty integrated teleporter built in so you can throw it and have it return to you...

Oddly enough I could not find a named hammer apart from the Fist of Dorn used by

Apart from that there are named blades. For example there is Draigo who has the Titansword which could easily be changed to the TitanHammer. Has a nice ring to it.

Others that work
DA Codex: Ezekiel's Deliverer (plasma Pistol) and Traitors' bane (force weapon)
SM Codex: Sicarius' Tempest Blade
SW Codex: Arjac Rockfist's Foehammer (thunderhammer w/ ranged option...)

Thanks guys, and it doesn't necessarily have to have a "hammer" in it, i could just give it a name like powerswords are named

Sicarius' "Tempest Blade"

Kor'sarro's "MoonFang"

and so on...

Which belongs to Arjac Rockfist. So, like the Fist of Dorn, unless you plan on killing Arjac, you can't have it.

However, 40k isn't big on named weapons like Fantasy. Only special characters get them. If you want your own commander to have his own badass hammer, you're going to have to make a name. The special named weapons tend to be completely unique in some way as well, otherwise they're just given a basic version of the weapon.
