To hide a 40k game from everyone else we are using epic figs and an iPhone dice roller (because its quieter)
we are using 1inch to represent 6.

I dont own an Iphone but can you roll more than one dice on that app? If not you may have a long time to wait....

Seriously, if you are playing games with Epic miniatures, you'd be far better off using the Epic Armageddon system. The 40k game system is vastly inferior to the E:A system. It's like choosing to drive an old vauxhall nova when you've got the option to drive a Maserati.

Someone did it in White Dwarf a loooooong time ago. When Epic was actually still in the shops. I think it was an issue in the early #200s. But there are a few people who have done the same online.

I did this about 15 years ago to play on the bus on the way to games day.

We mounted the models on pins, and made the tabletop out of a folding backgammon board lined with cork floor tiles, with scenery made out of the same.
We made it 1"=1cm.
It worked quite well as I recall.

I'd suggest the 'manydice' app for the Iphone. It's fairly random, and it tells you how many you get at each number. ie you roll 47 dice it'll tell you how many 6's, 1's ect you got. It doesn't seem to really have a max number of dice you can roll either. Just rolled 99,999 dice. Great for orks on the charge also, it's free
