Here's a question for you guys. If you put star Engines on a Falcon, is it possible to tank ram an opponents tank at strength 15?

It says in the rule book on page 69: Each vehicle immediately suffers a hit against the armour facing where the other vehicle has impacted (so the rammer always uses its front armour). The stregnth of the hits will often be different for different vehicles, and is calculated as follows for each vehicle:
Armour. Each point of armour above 10 on the point of impact: +1 (for a Falcon that would be +2)
Speed. Each full 3" moved that turn by the rammer before impact: +1 (for a Falcon with Star Engines that moved max speed which is 36" would be +12)
Mass. If the vehicle is a tank: +1 (of course for a Falcon it's +1)
All this adds to strength 15 and i'm pretty sure there's nothing that says it can only go to a max of strength 10 but i'm not positive. So can anyone answer this for me? It would help alot

No. Firstly no stat (exc ept AV) can go above 10, and secondly the FAQ says no just to add to it.

aww, are you sure? The rulebook also says that the characteristics of WS, BS, S, T, etc. can only go up to a value of 10 except for tanks

So you think only tanks can have AV over 10?

(Main rules page 6) "For all models except vehicles these characteristics are given a value on a scale of 0 to 10." With the vehicles rules listed on page 52 I can see no restriction on any values.

What am I missing?

"It is not the bullet with your name on it that should worry you, it's the one labeled "To whom it may concern. . ."

No I meant all vehicle types, but I was just saying tank because of this specific situation. Also I'll read that page later, gotta go now though so ya.

Per the FAQ published by GW on the Main Rulebook:

Q. Can a ramming vehicles Strength go above 10?
A. No, only a vehicle's AV makes exception to hte 'MAximum 10' rule for characteristics.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Thank you, I knew I had read that but did not see it this time for some reason.
It was causing me some confusion when looking other references up.

Regardless of whether or not the strength can go above 10, the star engine move is performed in the shooting phase while tank shocking/ramming is done in the movement phase. You would not be moving the additional 12" until AFTER you performed the ram so you cannot add it to the strength.
