I've been trying to connect to xbox live, or at the very least, to connect my xbox to my PC, but for some reason my xbox knows there is a pc there, but will not connect to it, and sure as heck won't use it's internet. I've tried EVERYTHING, but I cannot get this to work. It is not the ethernet cable I am using, either, I have tried out several different cables. My computer also realizes that there is a LAN network available, but wont stop the "Identifying" phase. Anyone have anything that might work? Microsoft is not very helpful...

May the the blessings of His Grace the Emperor tumble down upon you like a golden fog. (Only a VERY select few will get this reference. And it's not from 40k. )

Control Panel > Network and Sharing Centre > Change Advanced Settings > Media Streaming > Choose Media Streaming Options > Select your Xbox > Make sure it's set to allowed and click "customize" > Tick Make all the media available on this device.

&

Control Panel > Network and Sharing Centre > Change Advanced Settings > Make sure Network Discovery is enabled.

&

Also make sure the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service is started and set to automatic (delayed). Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services > Look for it on the list.

That's just off the top of my head, let me know if it worked.

The question isn't why do I kill. The question is, why I don't kill everybody.
