Hi All, Looking for some critique on the Dark Elves list I have come up with. I am not too sure on the choices regarding lords and heroes so any pointers in the right direction are appreciated. I am on a low-mid budget so this is based off of 2 Battalions, 1 box of warriors, 2 hydras and some character purchases:

Supreme Sorceress, Lvl 4 (Shadow) Talisman of Pres, Sacrificial Dagger - 330

Sorceress, Lvl 2 (Dark Magic), Dispell Scroll - 160

The general idea is obviously a Warrior spear horde with the armour piercing banner, BSB goes with them. 2 x 16 Crossbowmen so I can shoot different stuff if needed, possibly put a sorceress with each one?? Then the frenzied Corsairs and Hydras to lay down the serious hurt. How does it look? Any constructive criticism gratefully recieved!

Good Army dude, but a few changes are needed. For one thing, 40 Warriors ain't that good. Kill em and Keep the points. Then Kill the Supreme Sorceress and get a Dreadlord with Dark Amulet and Potion of Strength, with HVY Armour and Cloak and Shield. For Heroes then get an additional Sorceress. If you are playing with friends and trying to not have a Win at All Cost army, then kill a Hydra and get some Knights. Always a good Investment.

Thanks! I only play with friends no tournies etc. I will have 10 knights left from battalions so will have a rejig. what is a basic tactica for the hydra?

With the points from dropping the warriors should i put the corsairs up to 40 and the crossbow men to 2 x 20?

This Army is Far more Mobile Either way, and dark elves need mobility to survive. HYDRA SPAM!

Hydra's Should try to get into CC as quick as possible and attempt to charge. If the charge is failed then breathe fire on them, and then do the smae the next turn!

Uh did I just post that message twice!

That many Rare points is Illegal at 2000 points though, both in amount and duplicate choices on the 4 x Hydra one.

There are several thing is the above army that are wrong:

First up, the Dreadlord cannot use the shield as he has a great weapon, and he should never be on his own getting shot at.

Secondly, the second mage has 2 arcane items, which are illegal.

Thirdly, the hydra numbers are illegal, as is their total points cost.

Fourthly, the entire list is rubbish and you should ignore it and go back to your first list.

Uh sorry just doing it off the top of my head. Will rewrite list soon
