Anyone seen or had plans on turning the new Ogre Mournfangs into Thunderwolf Cavalry? I think it would be alot easier then some of the other conversion options out there.

In that they look even more like rodents...no.
There are better third party wolf with legs models out there that take the addition of a torso; that do not look like chipmunks, squirrels, or capybara.

Also rumored that GW is re-doing the goblin wolf riders, with larger wolves with no saddle or legs attached. Might be suitable when they hit...

I think they'll be great counts-as TWC - sure, they're obviously not wolves, but are similarly sized fierce creatures. I would do some conversion, e.g. getting rid of the Giant Tusks which look a bit too silly for my taste.

Or if you can wait, I wouldn't be surprised if third party manufacturers soon make wolfy heads to fit onto the Mournfang bodies.

Actually I have already been thinking about this model as a conversion. Change the Hooves to big claws. Cover up the tusk spots with green stuff or use some WFB shields cover up those spots. Sculpt some armor plating or add some dragon forge power cables to make them cybernetic.

Only issue is going to be the bit sellers and the final price. If they end up at 22.00 for both mounts then you might as well spend the next 16 and get the entire kit and all the cool parts. Hopefully they cost less then that.

I think mornfangs look silly, esp as mounts. I would go for one of the other alternatives like Mr. Dandy, Mythicast or the Scibor bears.

What I thought was raplace the mournfang heads entirely with wolf heads and use GS to cover up where you cut.
