AS the title says.....

http://wargamesfactory.com/webstore/legacy-of-the-greeks/heavy-armor-greek-hoplites

This kit contains 30-Heavily Armored Greek Warriors from the classical era. Suitable for use as any Greek city-state army including Athens and Sparta. They are either armored in bronze or linen cuirasses, have helmets, shields, spears and can be given swords. All models are supplied unpainted and require assembly. Shield decoration is not provided.

I collect:

Grand alliance death (whole alliance)

Stormcast eternals

Slaves to Darkness - currently Nurgle but may expand to undivided.

The only advantage these guys have over Immortal is that they dont have to be in a spear formation only thing, and they're slightly cheaper

Other than that I think immortal has the better minis. Some of those poses look weird

Also the only thing new are the bodies, all the weapons are from the Amazons/Skeletons. I believe the painted pics of the hoplites are from june or so. cant remember

Those are some awkwardly posed Greeks. To be fair, the paint jobs certainly aren't helping, but still. And what is that guy on the end doing? He doesn't even have a spear!

Not that I'm attempting to defend WGF, but assuming the devils advocate...

Would you really want to resculpt essentialy the same weapon all over when you had a passable one already made? I don't think its THAT bad, although i also think the Immortal hoplites are exceeding in quality.

Well I'm not saying the weapons are bad, in fact its smart to keep costs down.

Just pointing out that if you had the amazons/skeletons, you'll be filling up on the same weapons sans those weird claw thingies
