Hi, im from Argentina, i started playing about two months ago, im using Eldar, and still have a lot of way to go to complete my army, but in order to play with my friends i want to make some vehicles until i can buy the originals, specially the serpent, could any of you give me the measures? and if you can, i would like to have the measures of the falcon and prism as well.

also i have 3 Wraithlords and 1 War Walker, but they are from older editions, 2nd i think, they are smaller than the actual ones, so i would like to custom them and make them a little more "legal" to play, if you can i would also like to have the measures of this two, and the size of the base they would need to be put on.
thanks in advance!!!

I can't help you on the tanks, but I can with the walkers! Those models, while old, are still GW models and are still legal to use. Some Marine players (myself included) use old Rhinos from the 80s that are positively tiny compared to modern ones. As long as the weapons onboard are legal in the current codex, you're good. If not, then you can counts-as pretty well. That gatling gun looking thing on a warwalker could be a scatterlaser for instance. Both of these models are mounted on 60mm bases; the kind commonly used in dreadnought kits.

Hope that helps!

When it comes to tanks, keep in mind that the Wave Serpents have slightly longer rear compartment, but that the ornamentations between the other tanks otherwise are distinguishing features which are *not part of the hull* and as such do not matter for measurements.
The tank hulls can best be described as a € with long outer "hooks".

Let's start with the "hole":
Width between front tips: 4cm
Depth between front top and cockpit: 6cm

And now for the outter hull:
-Y- With of tank at the widest: 12cm (this is not at rear of tank)
Width of tank at front of cockpit: 11cm
-X- Length of the tank (thrusters to tip): 15cm
-Z- Thickness of tank without turret: circa 4cm
Thickness of tank in front of cockpit: circa 2cm
Turret not measured.

Typical height of stand is between 3 and 4 cm iirc.

In hindsight I'm not certain GW likes these sort of measurements, but oh well... proxies for Eldar vehicles are... difficult.
I kept the measurements a bit approximated, just in case, but if your friends allow proxies that shouldn't be an issue. The important measures are X, Y, and Z.

I really need to stay away from the 40K forums.

If I had to work it out, I'd look at the foam trays people like Battlefoam makes, and go off their tray sizes.

When using old models, they are completely legal to use. Their size doesn't matter, you may use the model.

Making your own, I can't help you. You could also find some toys to act as stand-in models however.

TBH, if the models are done well, no one should give you flak for "Modelling for advantage". I mean I've seen crouching Wraithlords and Trygons dug into ground to reduce LoS to them.
There also is a GW paper model of a Killa Kan from the 2nd ed starter set,out there somewhere, and it can be used in tournaments last I heard. It's 2 dimensional, too.

You could also use Paperhammer for the wave serpent. Just google paperhammer 40k. You print it out on some cardstock, cut it out, glue it together and you're good. It's a good solution as a temporary measure until you can buy/make yourself a real one.
