I haven't seen them in many people's army lists. I have not used them but I have an old model for one I can assemble. Wondering if they are of any use in a warband.

They're good units. Usually a squadron of 2-3 is quite nice to have. They give a bit of extra shooting, and they can be used to zip up in front of important enemy units and block their movement for a turn.

Especially when you look at the Eldar jetbike ,which is older, and still looks prety good, if a little dated.
I use them as annoyance units, with rokkits, to take out transports and zoom around bigger vehicles for sideshots. They die depressingly easy, but are very cheap in points, and the enemy can't afford to ignore them completely.

So it's better to make them infantry harass or vehicle harass? (rokkits vs big shoota). I have one wartrakk model. It was an old one that was marked down in price. If I don't use it it still looks cool and it'll be fun to paint.

It's best to give them rokkits, orks don't hurt for anti infantry.

By escort off the board I mean that if a unit fails it's leadership you keep a unit within 6" to prevent them regrouping. You continue this until your opponent directs enough fire to kkill your unit or his unit flees from the table. Really effective should some scary unit fail it's ld ie. TWC or paladins as you can effectively remove 500 points or more from the table and it can be game changing.

Didn't know about that regrouping rule, will have to read the rulebook again. That does seem like an effective tactic especially if for some stroke of luck a good unit fails its leadership test.

Yea the current model is just ass. I made a couple out of Landspeeders (click on my blog link if your curious) and use them every now and then. They can be pretty helpful. If Im not taking rokkit buggies(which are rather useful) Ill occasionally take a couple burna buggies(skorcha upgrades) and use them to help bolster other units. They also are great for area denial and as mentioned, great for pushing falling back units right off the table. Pretty handy because of how fast they can move.

Definitely take the Twin Linked rokkits. Best thing about buggies is that they're decent anti-tank, they're fast, and they're cheap. I usually go back and forth between a unit of Rokkit Launcha buggies and Deffkoptas, depending on which style of army I'm playing and who I'm playing against. They are worth the points. Usually if you take out 1 tank they've already made their points back.

It's the same way with the walkers. You can throw down 11 walkers at unsettlingly low points

Yep, gotta love the Greenskins.
I like buggies and will alternate between Rokkit and Big Shoota Buggies. Having 9 twin linked S5 shots with 36" range is nothing to sneeze at.... and it's right around 100 points. Coupled with mobs of Shoota Boyz, you have surprisingly large amounts of Dakka you can put down each turn.

Mekboy on Kustom Deth Kopta

most my lists include 9 rokkit buggies... 35 points each that's 105 per squad 3 squads 315 points... not bad for 3 AV10 vehicle squad of 3 with twin linked rokkits. they give good cover, can thanks to vehicle squad rules last a while and ignore can't move turns to can't shoot (though immobalise is wrecked)
overall I'll take them over koptas 90% of the time... If i am short on points I'll downgrade to a single kopta w/ buzz saw for the alpha strike btu that's rare

I tend to use 6 in almost every list . 6 of them with rokkits is the best 200 points you can spend . Stick them near a KFF and they are game MVP's . Plus you can go flat out turn 5 onto objectives and laugh at basic troops try and move you.

Usually buggies, as i'm using them cheap. I'll give them rokkits and Red Paint only, usually..

personally i see the wartrakk upgrade to be better than the red paint upgrade buggies are already fast and that 1" isnt going to do much for shooting since you pretty much have a 36" threat zone with shooting and wartrakk gives you the ability to drive into terrain without losing buggy due to bad rolls.

Agreed - rokkit buggies or skorcha wartracks are the way to go. Cheap anti tank asset that has multiple uses or a skrocha going after dug in units in cover.
