Not much at the moment really but I found out that brake fluid was meant to strip plastic models of paint so decided to give it a go on marine models, some of which are nealry 10 years old. Now not wanting to use a already
made chapter I wen't for my own Imperial Shields chapter. Fluff will be upcoming but needless to say thier no where near as harsh as other chapters and have suffered for it.

Anyway before I actually show you pictures of the test marine here's proof that the brake fluid does work (though it does seem loosen glue which isnt to big aissue).

Before the paint caked marines wen't for a bath.

Ta da heres afterwards:

Anyway enoguh of that here's my first test marine sporting the chapter bone and blue coulour scheme. The chapter has suffered greatly and as such has much less resources and men than other's. This means that each marine generally has worn armour and will be quite decorated though the squad types are the same. So without further waffling here's the marine.

Tactical Marine, Imperial Sheilds 1st Company, Squad Gardo under Chapter Master Valecious

(Not the best pictures I'll admit sorry I'll take them from further away next time.)

So anyway hope you like the test scheme blue and bone with a grey shoulder pad for the sheild and scroll chapter symbol and finally here's the rest of the squad. All purity sealed up and ready for some paint.

I like the colour scheme, and the GS purity seals look great. The pictures are a little blurry. A clearer picture would be great if possible

Well I am proud to present the first finished Imperial Shield. Took a little while but I'm happy with it and would probably say it's my best painted minature and at around 11 years old probably one of my oldest

Anyway here he is along with some further WIP on the sarge.

Hope you enjoy.

(EDIT: That silver bar on his shoulder actually has the squad name (Gardo) on it and is the plan for all the squads in the force. Unfourtunately its not all that clear.)

Luckily you can see the freehand Imperial Luarel on the kneecap awarded to him during the chapters greatest battle. More on that later though.

The OSL on his eyes looks cool, rather imposing The detail on the shoulder pads and knee pads is very good.

You might get clearer photos by using the macro function on your camera
