The orc faq breaks the rules clearly listed in the rulebook!

A: Yes.

Rulebook: Under bock USR and Characters it says outflank and infiltrate are both lost when a character joins a unit without those rules.

Ambush is neither infiltrate nor outflank, though?

A good guide to go by is that specific rules have precedence over general rules. That excerpt in the BRB is a general rule for USR's, Ambush is a specific rule and GW clarified in their ruling that an IC is joined to a unit before deployment.

Either way I guess one less warboss on the field for at minimum 3 turns with my OOF makes me happier!

So that one biker can move on from any board edge separating immediately for 12">?

The rules also specify that he can't separate on the turn they arrive.

Not sure why it is a minimum of 3 turns...? Although with 5+, 4+, 3+ the odds are in your favor.

They key is do not leave multi-charge options or if you do put them away from objectives in a corner so the whole unit is essentially 'out of the game'

here is where it gets fishy. Can the biker charge something say 8+ inches away and the rest of the squad just stay in coherency moving 6"?

I'm not sure what you're talking about. All the normal assault rules apply to the unit. Bikes assault 6" like infantry.

Snikrot and kommandos + ghaz coming in behind you is nasty @.@

Big gamble for the Orks, though, as it means there's a 50/50 chance that Ghaz won't even be on the table until turn 3 or later.

Even if bikes could charge more than 6", a unit is restricted to moving at the speed of its slowest model. So long as the biker is joined to the squad, he's only moving 6" just like them.
