For those who dont know it: wargames factory give us a space, where we can show our ideias for plastic sets of miniatures (28mm). There they "pre-order" the ideia, and if they have 500 sprues pre-ordered, they produce it. The "pre-order" they ask is not a real pre-order, but an "advice of interest", you dont even pay nothing, When they reach the intended degree of public interest, they start to work that out, and show it. In that time, they will ask oppinions in their forum, design sketches and actually show "greens".When the final product come out, they will ask you again if you want to buy, and them you pay.

Well, the fallowing "ideia" was submited by me, and i was thinking about sister too when i wrote it. If you are interested, jump in and "pre-order" how much boxes you think you need:

SET DESCRIPTION: 25 to 30 figures. Set of woman knights wearing gothic styled full plate armor. The armor should keep the "female silhouete", don't necesarely beying realistic or historical accurate BUT should not fall into "less armor is better" syndrome for female armor. Set should contain parts for womans armed with sword and shield, lance, broadswords (2 handed), mace and shield and morningstar (2 handed mace). If possible, some bitz could be designed for "dynamic poses" (running legs). Torso and legs could be separated. Diferent female heads, with and without helmets are welcome. If possible the set could have extra arms for holding guns (not neccessarely included into the set), for steam punk and sci-fi conversions.

If you like it, you can "pre-order" it here: http://www.wargamesfactory.com/BookingRetrieve.aspx?ID=121319

If you want to participate on the discussions and design about the set, you can discuss it here: http://wargamesfactory.lefora.com/2011/08/23/gothic-female-knights/?utm_source=wknewsletter&utm_medium=wknews.topic&utm_campaign=em&_mid=35-991725-f28f5d27 (yeah, the designers of the kit, if it end up with the right ammount of interest, will actually ask your opinnion about it).

Maybe it worth a try

Damn it!

I'll say the same thing I said in your Angels thread: I love the idea and I'd buy them by the truckload if they were done right, but I don't trust Wargames Factory to get the job done.

When they can prove that they no longer suck, then I'll be willing to pre-order them.

I really don't see the point in making threads on L&U entries until there's some serious interest. Even the ideas that have met their pre-order quota haven't had more than a CGI test render, and some don't even have that.

Most people dont know L&U entries, or dont look it regularly...

As i really want my ideias to be used one day, i come here and tell those people who normally dont look at L&U, that someone have posted an ideia that they might like.

I dont posted on news and rumors, but on discussions, just to avoid those claims "it is not real news". There is a new ideia on L&U, if much people like it, it can work out.

I really dont understand people who call WGF to be "bad", they sell miniatures for a lower cost, and have some great ones (do you really ever looked at shock troops?). They have bad things too (argh, Amazons ). Buit even GW have their abortions of plastic (argh, daemons), who some people even like.

If you dont want the entrie, ignore the post. If you like it, you now know it exist, and maybe is interested.

And Alex: WGF is not GW, and its not comparable to Mantic. Their quality is not incredible we know, but they are improving (not greatly, but well). If you dont "thrust them to make it", them who you thrust? For me cost make a huge diference beetween like and dislike, and WGF use that to atract me. Oh, and what other company around actually ask you what you want?

I really dont understand the hate around a post like this. There is a guy calling out for help to his friend who work on a GW store (im not mad with that, i helped the guy). Why i could not ask help too?

Just to point: if this was a unbased rumor about GW doing female knights in gothic armors, that would be in news and rumors, and people would love it.

If you like the ideia, and want to buy it one day, pre-order. If the thing dont come up like you wanted it, just tell WGF when they e-mail you to actually sell your "pre-order". Or better, if you really want that to be done right, frequent their forum and trade some ideias with the designers.

Hey I was glad to see this post, wherever people think it should be included.

Even a sub-par plastic kit would be great for conversions, so I voted for your topic!
