So here is my list for the upcoming rogue trader tournament on the 17th. Every thing has to be WYSIWYG so I cant take any combi- weapons as I don't own any. Any advice or reasonable changes are welcome I have 2 predators with lascannon sponsons I can use, 2 landspeeders with typhoon missile launchers, several tac squads, an Ironclad dreadnaught, 2 dreadnaughts with mm, and heavy flamers, 3 drop pods and some misc. things. Any help would be appreciated.

If you have the models I would go for multi meltas on the tac squads. Also, why aren't you taking a land raider redeemer? they can dish out a lot more than the crusader and you don't even need the additional capacity at this point since you only have 5 terminators.

Is this list any better you guys and gals think?

they're both pretty good lists, it comes down to your play style. Play both lists and see what units you like and what don't fit into you're preffered strategies.

Both seem decent, although Terminators are usually an auto-include in a Vulkan list I guess. Anyway, you built the lists around Vulkan (bar the Predators) and you should do ok.

Thanks it was hard for me to come up with good lists as everything has to be WYSIWYG. I won't be winning any of the painting awards as my army is only partially painted and horribly at that and I'm borrowing models that are painted in Smurf colors. But I'm hoping to win best general or best sportsman or something like that. By the way I decided to go with the second list because it has more back field fire support that I need in this army.

Any more thoughts especially about the second list?

I just converted some extra flamers and bolters into combi-flamers. I will have to combat squad at least 1 squad here so Vulcan has a ride. But is this list better.

Just my opinion... I usually play Eldar, but do play some with Salamanders. I would lose the Landspeeders and the Attack bikes or take more of them. I don't think the Landspeeders do that well and usually end up blown up if targeted fairly easily. I would try to get a Landraider back into the list with some terminators to go with Vulcan. Just my opinion. Cheers and good luck.
