Subject: New to Warhammer and Dakka Dakka

Hello everyone!
I'm new to the site and new to Warhammer 40K. My husband has played for a couple of years now, but I haven't gotten into it until about a month ago. I've chosen Dark Eldar as my army to build and play. Mainly because my husband plays Salamanders and Space Wolves and I wanted a "EVIL" army to kick his butt with. lol He has recently bought me an Archon, 10 Incubi, 10 Scourges, 30 Wyches, 10 Warriors, 3 Reavers and 3 Raiders! All new and in the box! I have to say putting the models together is fun. Really! I've been using Army Builder along with him to put my lists together and reading the Codex. I do have a hard time understanding the Codex though because I haven't played a game or even watched a game be played. So if anyone has any insite on what works best for Dark Eldar, please give me some hints so I can Break his face! lol

Hey welcome to Dakka Dakka 40k and the Dark eldar.
The dark eldar are a very, intricate army to play, that being said It sounds like you have a great start, pleanty of troops and some transports.
Dashofpepper has an excellent Dark eldar tactica ( tactics explination) It is a Very Very good source of information on Dark eldar.
If you dont understand all of it ( due to not playing a game) I would go to your FLGS and simply watch a few games, if at all possible maybe watch your husband play, with one of his friends so you can ask questions.
