Hello all. I'll be starting a Cryx army soon and am looking for basing advice. I want it to look like the ground is dyeing under them any suggestions.

Sounds easy enough - do normal grassy and light vegetation bases, but use 'dead grass' colours around the feet and footsteps.

You could also use desaturated colors. A somewhat 'greyed out' look would represent lifelessness well. If you really wanted to push it you could try painting black tendrils reaching out from their footsteps, but it may take some finesse to not make that look tacky.
