So...about 3 weeks ago I sold my Magic collection and needing to fill the void decided to get back into 40k...since then, this is what I have collected:

Space Marines

2 x Captains
1 x PA Librarian
1 x Vulcan

1 x Tech Marine + servitor
3 x AoBR Dreads
1 x Dread, LC,ML or CC Weapon/Flamer
1 x Ironclad
2 x 5 man Veterans

5 x TH/SS Termies
3 x Terminators with Cyclone ML
9 x Terminators with Power Weapon/SB
2 x Termies with Power Fist/HF

3 x Predators
1 x Rhino
2 x Rhino/Razorback
5 x Drop pods
4 x Land Speeders

5 x 10 Man Assault Squad with Jump Packs
4 x 10 Man Tac Squads
1 x 5 Man Tac Squad
2 x 5 Man Dev Squad
2 x 5 Man Sniper Scouts
2 x 5 Man Scouts
1 x Marine with Combi-Weapon

Since my LGS only really plays 1000pt games, I think I may have overdone it by a bit. Here is the question...I have been painting my guys red, just in case I wanted to switch to Blood Angels...with what I have in the list above, what else would I need to buy to play a competitive BA list. More assault squads, Baal predators?

Well, unless you're playing Descent of Angels, Assault Marines usually ditch the jetpacks for cheap razorbacks/rhinos, while Tactical Marines have no place in their army at all. So I suppose you could buy a bunch of bolt pistols and CCWs to convert the tac squads to jetpack-less Assault Marines?

Or you could just keep them as-is, since if you have a unique paintscheme you can claim your Chapter to be any codex you want.

I would recommend buying more Terminator assault weapons (and maybe an assault cannon or two), since currently you somehow ended up with 9 Sgts.

Vehicles are about the only thing you're missing in great numbers, you have foot-sloggers enough to field anything you want.

Also, 1000 point games only? That's friggin' horrible. My deepest condolences on having such a crappy LGS.

You bought that all in 3 weeks? You are in way over your head for sure. Start small. Paint troops.

They only started selling 40k a few months ago, and not everyone gets crazy like me and buys 5k points right away. People are welcome to play as many points as their opponent agrees to and the owner of the shop will actually let the table top game room open until whenever people want to play (it is separate from the main store) as long as they lock the door when the leave.

Waiting for my shill money from Spiral Arm Studios

You have plenty of Assault Marines for Blood Angels, you do need to buy some Sanguinary Priests for FnP though.

and I reccomend getting a new FLGS. 1000 point games are really tiny. 1500 is a small game, 1850-2000 would be normal, and 2500+ would be large.

Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.

Nothing wrong with 1k games...

Certain players just don't like them because they want to use all the shiny toys in the codex.

OP: Yes, you went a little overboard. If you want to play BA, maybe convert one of your AoBR dreads into a furioso?
