Hes not targeting a psyker or a unit with a psyker in it. He is targeting a vehicle. So no.

You cannot target a unit inside a vehicle, either.

The psyocculum says that you are BS 10 if you are targeting a psyker or any unit containing a psyker. We have played it that if you target a transport containing a psyker, then you are BS 10 shooting at that transport because it contains the psyker. But no, you cannot target a unit inside a transport.

The transport is an entirely separate unit. So, the unit you're shooting at (the transport) does not contain a psyker, even if there is a psyker being transported.

This is why a transport doesn't need to maintain coherency with the unit, why the transport can move over 6", why the transport can shoot at a different target than the embarked unit, etc.

But if a transport is carrying a psyker with or without a unit, does it not "contain" the psyker? If it didnt apply to transports wouldnt it say something to the effect of "when shooting at a psyker or a unit that the psyker has joined...." You can certainly read it both ways, but "contain" to me also means inside a transport.
