Subject: Decent of Angles and a few questions about DA and the HH novels.

So I just finished reading Decent of Angles (The first book I've read of the HH novels) and while I enjoyed it I was hoping to read about when the Lion comes back to his home planet and it get's destroyed, and all of that fluff around that time period.
So I was wondering a few things
If there are any books that deal with that time period?
What where the Watchers in the Dark? (Xenos, warped spawned creatures, daemons?)
And a couple of minor and kind of random questions
Where the raptors they mentioned in the forest birds of prey or dinosaurs? (Think space dinos would have been more epic haha)
Would there be any possible non SM decedents of Caliban in the current 40k timeline?

1. Read Fallen Angels
2. The rest will be explained when they write more books for the HH.

As above: fallen angels deals mostly within the time period you are looking for.
however I have to ask what made you start the HH series with Decent Of Angels?
Oh and due to the fact caliban was destroyed 10,000 years ago, even if 'normal' humans did escape they would most definately be dead within that timeline

The Watchers are non-Chaos warp entities.
Raptors are dinosaurs.
No humans survived.
Angels of Darkness has about half the book set as a flashback to the interrogations of Astelan about the fall of Caliban (where he only tells things from his point of view and not with much honesty).

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

The Decent of Angles tends to either be acute or obtuse.

Sweet thanks for the replies,
I started with Decent of Angles, because it was at my local used book store for cheap, and I've been picking up more of the HH series when they have them, is there any order I should read them in and while I have a general knowledge of that time's fluff are there any major spoilers in any of them?

ive read it in this order. minus the unreleased ones haha
order them from amazon(private sellers) they are going for around £1 to £2 each
there is a hell of alot of info within the books that has never been released through any other means as official fluff so they are worth reading... although one or two arent that great most are brilliant.
