That's a question that can really only be answered on the table, since it relies pretty much entirely on the positions of the models involved.

If the models block LOS, then they block LOS.

its all true line of sight

I could see them providing a cover save in the right situation and concentration

Okay, so i'd go with it's possible.
Could they provide a cover save to those vehicles?

If they block an appropriate amount LOS, yes.

If you ran enough of them technicaly they could provide cover for each other. If you placed them right.

Just to clarify (people might mis-interpret)

One squad can never give cover to itself, you would need to run multiple units to do what Van is suggesting.

2 squads cannot give mutual cover to eachother, either. See the BRB FAQ

One of the squad can cover the other, however.

I routinely use a combination of Reavers and Hellions to provide cover to Venoms, who provide cover to Raiders/Ravagers. They are at the same height, they have a pretty large profile, and they come en masse, so providing cover to the vehicles is pretty straightforward.

Completely blocking LOS, on the other hand, sounds like a stretch. It would take a LOT of Hellions, I think, to completely block off something.
