Hey guys...just wondering if anyone can tell me exactly how SM Rifleman Dreads are loaded out...ML/LC?

A rifleman Dreadnought is, specifically, an Autocannon on each arm.

Do they make Autocannon arms for dreads, or do I need to convert them? Anyone know where I can get the pieces I need to convert an AoBR dread to a rifleman dread?

Forge World sells some.

There's also the Aegis Defence Line from GW that has this bit, which can be pilfered to make a pair of Autocannons. It would cost the same as a pair of autocannons from Forge World and leave you some terrrain pieces.

Finally, this flack Cannon has a pair of "autocannons" that could be used.

Linky

Edit: I can't say if you'd be able to slip them on and off the dreadnought. You might have to glue them on. You'll have to ask somebody else about that.

Forgeworld sells some nice, albeit expensive ones. The Aegis line that was mentioned in the post before this one works very well. Here's the results on one of my dreads:

The bitspudlo ones linked to above look good. They do have to have the holes drilled to match the dreadnought, and they have to be glued in place, but that's pretty minor really.

This looks like a crisis suit kinda, but the conversion work is nice other than that.

I just stuck that on there because I figured a targeting array sort of thing would look cool. It's definitely not required!

Actually, I do not quite get why a Dread with two TLAC is called a Rifleman Dread.

The BattleTech Rifleman Mech, from which the term is derived, had one autocannon and one heavy laser on each of his arms, which, if you do it with a Dread, will A. look awesome and B. be easily represented with TLAC+TLLC. Okay, so that is probably expensive and ineffective. But the rule of cool says it is better than 2xTLAC.

"We train young men to drop fire on people, but their commanders won't allow them to write "feth" on their airplanes because it's obscene!" (Colonel Kurtz in Apocalypse Now)

And you know what's funny? "feth" is actually censored on a forum about a dystopia where the nice guys are the ones who kill only millions of innocents, not billions.

It's because it vaguely resembled a Rifleman mech.

But it would be so much cooler with fitting armament instead of just looking vaguely like it.

Yeah, but most people only have a cursory knowledge of Battletech, and even then I'm sure half the people who use the term aren't aware of its origin. Not denying you here; just saying that's how the community is.

Only if by Mech Warrior, you mean the pen&paper RPG, not the videogame.
