I want to make sure I understand Frazzle.
The description says that it automatically hits, so does that mean you don't have to roll the scatter dice on it?

I am interested in this too. In my opinion, it would scatter like all blast attacks. All blasts hit automatically anyway. I wasn't able to find anything in the FAQ about it either way.

As it is written in the Codex, so shall it be.

I think the intent is that it lands exactly where you want it with no scatter.
RAW, who knows.. I'll take a look at the dex when i get home and check the exact wording.

It says on pg37 of the Ork codex:
If in range, that unit is automatically hit.
The profile says "Blast, Pinning"

From the codex:
Frazzle: The Weirdboy sends out arcs of crackling energy that ground themselves upon the enemy, reducing them to shrivelled husks before the eyes of their terrified comrades. Chose an enemy unit within line of sight. If in range, that unit is automatically hit. Frazzle has the profile below: 24" S6 AP3 Blast, Pinning
It seems like a very open ended description. "Automatic hit" makes me think it hits exactly what you want without rolling the scatter dice.

Auto hits now means no scatter. Useful power, but not worth the chance of blowing yourself up. The potential for a free WAAAGH! is, however...

A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.

It doesn't scatter.
Think of it as saying "You automatically roll a Hit on the scatter dice"
The scatter dice has a Hit result. Blasts roll scatter. Frazzle says it Auto-hits.
