Not a huge fan of sword TBH. Shield would benefit you better with all that mech TBH. A 5+ cover save is better than no save at all

twin-linked plasma gun and lascannon is always better on Razorbacks for Angels than a lascannon. You can move 6" and fire BOTH guns and the plasma can still fire that single shot 24". Great for killing light armour, monstrous creatures and elite infantry.

Your Dreadnoughts will have problems. One will come down first turn because you have even number of Pods. When it comes down it will stand there and pop smoke, then the opponent will shoot the gak out of it - how many smoke saves can you pass? The opponent only needs to immobilise it and it's practically out the game. Furioso will be best in DoA lists or lists which are Drop Pod heavy.

Baals are cool.

So would you drop the dread for some tac squads ?

No, I definately wouldn't put Tactical Squads in. In fact I wouldn't even consider Tactical Marines in a Angels army.

If you drop both Dreadnoughts along with Corbulo (because he adds nothing a Priest doesn't) and get another Priest, a Razorback squad and a unit of Scouts you should be rocking.

I have to keep corbulo because that's a rule in the tourney i plan on playing this list in. Must have one named character doesn't have to be an HQ, and well he was the cheapest.

How do you use the scouts just plop em on a obj close to my table edge and hold ?

You could. Tactical squads aren't the best choice in the codex. Assault marines can get you more bang for their buck because of the reduced cost on a dedicated transport. What models do you have available to you?

If you are really set on having those DP Dreads, the easiest fix would be to take away one razorback and give them a drop pod. Now you have 3 DPs and both Dreads can come down turn 1 increasing survival. If you can scout move both Baals into their territory you now have 4 immediate threats that your opponent has to deal with.

Also, IP on your assault squads aren't the best use of points in a 1500 limit. With the 35 pts you are saving (assuming you give an assault squad a DP instead of a razor) you could drop the pistols and upgrade them powerfists. However, if you have already modeled them with IPs, they aren't terrible so you should still be ok.

Why does your libby cost 150? If you gave him the epistolary upgrade, I would drop it and spend your pts elsewhere. Maybe a few extra bodies for that DP assault squad would be a good idea.

Furry muff on Corbulo.

Yeah that's right with Scouts. Give them sniper rifles and camo cloaks, snipers aim at infantry and maybe cause some distruption with pinning and camo cloaks in case they get shot at - gives a 3+ cover save or if you want them to survive go to ground for 2+ cover

Astorath has only one purpose: Letting you run an all-DC army. The buff to the Red Thirst isn't worth it, since you either have Priests or aren't planning on assaulting much. Without those bonuses, he's just a CC beatstick character, and those are basically never good in Marine armies.

I like Mercer's suggestion, although adding more AV13 is another great option. In fact, I'd make those Baal Predators into Auto/Las Predators instead. To me, 2 S7 AP4 shots and 2 S9 AP2 shots is better than the TL AC and the Heavy Bolters, although I seem to strongly dislike Heavy Bolters relative to others here. Scouts is nice, but I'd take the HS Preds before I took the Baals.

Taking both 3 regular and 3 Baal Preds is a fantastic idea though. I've done it at 1500, but the list ends up being Predators, some Razorback squads and a Librarian, with no room for Priests or CC weapons on Sergeants. At 2000, it's a great idea, and you can take the Furiosos too.

The Baals are providing needed antiinfantry support given that the dreads can not be relied upon. If you go with las preds then actually I would go with heavy bolter razorbacks.

Go for mephiston. Goes well with your list, gives the cc threat you need and can easily be afforded.

I would definately not take Astrorath and Death Co. I feel Death Co are meh, good at killing stuff but costly and cannot claim objectives. Astorath just lets you take more of them.

If you don't want Corbulo (and TBH I don't see the point in him) then take Mephiston instead and run him behind the Razorbacks to block LOS.

Don't DoA the Assault Squad. Just throw them into a Razorback like the others with a special weapon. My only thoughts are you may struggle with hordes, consider a flamer and power weapon on half your units and use them to tag team horde units. Add in a Priest and hordes are going to take a beating.

I guess if you're stuck for Razorbacks then jumping behind would be ok. Mephiston can keep them company and the Priests will be in feel no pain range. Then once the Razorbacks are close enough or a enemy unit comes close enough the jump units fly over the Razorbacks and mass attack.
