I can't 'quick reply' to threads, because I had a warning recently (undeserved IMO, but that's another story...), and I was just interested to find out how long it lasts for? I assume it's a new thing, as I've never seen it before - and I've had a LOT of warnings...

Yes, it is a new(ish) thing. It is hoped that users who have had warnings will take a bit more time to consider whether their prospective posts will violate the rules or not, hopefully in light of the warning they received, so as to help them avoid further warnings and eventually suspensions. As a further suggestion, I might add that whether or not one thinks the warning was "deserved" is not really material to that analysis.

It hasn't really had that effect on me. I mean to post pretty much everything I post.

Well, I did say that's another story!

I think it is a week long, might be more. It is quite long to add some additional strength to the penalty system.
