Situation: unit of marines gets charged on each side by a unit of genestealers and a unit of warriors with prime. Nid assult phase, marines kill off all the warriors, prime and stealers take fearless tests. Marines assult phase, nids win and marines stay.

Now nids turn again, an ic is within 2" of another unit that is part of a multi combat. Does the ic become part of that unit during the movement phase? What about during consolidation move? I can't seem to find any RAW to support the ic not joining.

IC's can not join a unit that is locked in Combat.

A IC can only join in the movement phase, and can not join in the shooting or assault phases.
