Subject: Scout heavy 1750 pt or 2,000 pt army list?

Totally new to 40K. Have been playing Warhammer Fantasy for a year or so though. Wondering what you seasoned players think about this potential army list. Thanks in advance for any advice!
HQ:
Captain Lysander of Imperial Fists = 200 pts.
ELITE:
I) 9 Terminator Assault with Thunder Hammers and Shields w/ 1 Land raider w/ multi melta and extra armor = 555 pts.
TROOPS:
I) 9 scout snipers w/ rocket launcher and camo cloaks w/ Telion = 230 pts.
II) 10 scout snipers w/ camo cloaks = 180 pts.
III) 10 scout snipers w/ camo cloaks = 180 pts.
HEAVY SUPPORT:
I) 10 Devastators w/ 1 Lascannon and 3 Missile Launchers = 250 pts. (Maybe add Rhino?)
Total: 1595 pts.
Left out points for you guys to change stuff up. My idea was to have terminators with Lysander and land raider be the tip of the spear, have scouts lay down the long range sniper fire in cover as support and Devastators to take out any tanks/heavy stuff.

Single land raider and no other vehicles means it will take all the high strength shooting. If it gets immobilized T1 or T2 then it's game over for you I fear. Your list only works on the premise the opponent has no solutions to armour 14.
One scout sniper squad is fine, but 3? I would make 1 or 2 of them 5 man CC squads in LS storms if you're dead set on scouts.
Also scout bikes can fit the theme and with scout move/locator beacon you could always just drop the terminators straight in the backfield. Also, why not a few drop pods to keep the terminators company and don't worry about long range shooting at all. Ironclad/ven dread is always nice and maybe some sternguard or similar ...

Lysander makes lists worse by getting rid of combat tactics and then not adding much. Are the scouts for a fluff reason?
I am not sure what the quickest way to make this list usable.

Ahh ok thanks guys. Well I figured scouts would be fine with some cover and I'd get more attacks for the points.
And lysander.. I was looking for a strong termmie HQ to lead the terms.
but, yea makes sense. So maybe
- Replace lysander with librarian in termmie armour
-Add an Ironclad dread
- take out a scout squad, split second scout squad into two 5 man teams
- Add two drop pods

I will split it up.
HQ
Lysander gets rid of combat tactics and then doesn't add enough to balance with this.
So Libbie in termy armour is nice, could for a captain, or even a chaplain for this role. With Null zone you'll make Grey Knights scared which can only be agood thing.
Elites
termies+landraider. Make sure they can fit into the raider. Take something like 3SS/ TH and 2LC to give a more rounder cc hammer. This is great, you'll now need to protect the raider or at least make its death not in vain.
Troops
Telion squad. He gives them stealth so remove the cloaks. This can be deadly.
Sure add some scouts to win objectives. 2 groups of 5 sounds OK. I never liked tactical squads anyway. Maybe give one lot a storm so you can reserve and outflank and keep at least one scoring unit alive and mobile.
Heavy
So now you need a long range threat and a few tanks to distract from or cover or capitalise on the death of your land raider. At this point your scouts are on their own lets build a balanced list pretending they do not exist.
So 3 preds and 2 rhinos with sternguard sounds like it fulfils this role. Arm 2 preds for antitanks and 1 antiinfantry. Then sternguard can have 8 men then a collection of combiweapons to shoot out the rhino maybe a couple of heavy flamers for one squad.
Hope that helps . I dislike iron clads and drop podding dreads.

Master of the forge for an HQ. Use Bolster defenses + camo cloaks on the scouts to get a 2+ cover save... thats some nasty stuff

How about three thunder fires, 30 scouts and landspeeders to kill tanks.

Thunderfires are good too, but the master of the forge is key, i freakin hate shooting stuff out of a 2+ cover save...

Thunder fires have bolster defences. The master of the forge is good with a big gun in a shooty list and otherwise taken to change FoC IMO.
