So I am starting DE. I hate Homunculi and everything about them (including the associated models-grotesques wracks chronos talos). I still want to use their rules but am somewhat at a loss at what I could do to use instead model wise. Ive thought of using wraithlords to represent talos and/or chronos, and maybe wraithguard as one of the other two (but I am cautious about that $$ wise).

So Dakka. What do you think I should use instead model wise and still keep within the bounds of fluff of an eldaresque army?

Im not a DE specialist, but Id say that you use converte Kabalite or Wyches for Wracks.

Use the rules for Homunculi-associated units for some kind of inducted/enslaved aliens and go wild on pilfering GW's (or others) entire range.

I have a Drow theme and use AT-43 Therian Arachns as Wracks, Goliaths as Grotesques, and Warmachine Cryx Cephalyx as Haemunculi (also Wracks alternative there). I have the old talos but like the new one as well.

That is by far one of the best looking homunculi I have seen. It is exactly how one would imagine a deranged maniacal mad scientist to look. I think it works even better than most of the GW models.

That's a great Haemonculi. I much prefer the snnickering mad scientist to the hideous mutant thing.

You can also get them without the Wracks. And they even have Eldar style helmets.
