15pts left, throw Regen on the Tyrant or something.

Poop out termagants, swarm crap with them. The Tervigons hand out FC and 4+ Poison to them, and the Tyrant gives them preferred enemy, making them fairly decent in combat.

FnP usually goes on the Hive Guard and Tyrant squad, who gives cover to the tervigons.

Thoughts?

What are you going to do against Land raiders, Battle wagons, monoliths, or even mech vets?

You need to drop at least one unit of hive guard for 2-3 zoans in a pod.

Also why do you need Devos on the tyrant? your list is already set up to kill infantry it seems like a waste of points. I would drop them and give him a HVC and a bone sword lash whip combo. That way you can save points by dropping the whips on the guard too. After that do you really need an armored shell? you have 2 guards.

Zooanthropes are far far too unreliable...
In a pod, you need to roll for reserves, even if you add Hive Commander to your Hive Tyrant, there is still a chance to fail on turn two.
Secondly, you need to roll a psychic attack, probably face psychic defence, roll to hit, roll to penetrate, and then roll damage, with possible cover saves. That is far to many rolls to be considered reliable, and really worth there points. Hive Guard are more than effective, and whenever i play them seem to be able to always glance my Land Raider....

Hive Tyrant and Tervigons can also hit them in combat, not best way to get rid of one, but it can work. Monoliths, well there aren't many around at the moment in most areas, there just a pain.

I personally don't like the Hive Tyrant in this list, i would only ever take a Swarmlord, and here you might as well take another Tervigon... Then you could fit in some Gargoyles as well maybe? Or Crushing claws, crushing claws are fun....

Tyrant doesn't really need armoured shell as well as 2 guards.

You can probably get away with 2 hive guard in each brood, so that's about 190 points saved for little impact.

Land raiders are for hitting in CC not long range shooting. You kill everything else and then the raider.

I would be tempted to drop the HQ tervigon, run with three tervigons as troops and then get 2 dakka fexes to advance with the mass. 12 S6 shots/turn from each and they can do a number on tanks when they get into CC.

The Dakka Tyrant is pretty cool, I run the same setup myself, but with a single Guard. Reason for single Guard as easier to get cover, you only need half the unit in cover, which is the Guard.

The Hive Guard are ok but you only have three units which can only engaged three enemy units at once. I think you need some more shooting. Dakkafexes are ok for supressing mech, light armour popping and small unit destruction, I would add some of these.

I think you'll probably get fed up of Tervigon spam. I took three in my army and they're alright, but not awesome. Probably is Tervigons don't do a fat lot and when burnt out of troops they do even less. The only useful thing they are really good for is holding objectives.

Thanks for replies =)

Basic idea of the army is to spawn huge amounts of gaunts and swarm the field. With the buffs the tervs ang tyrant give to them they are actually decent in CC.

Hive guards concentrate on immobilizing/destroying every tank that threatens tank shocks onto your objectives. Gaunts can also glance them when charging. In KP games, dont poop out too many gaunts, pop a couple of rhinos and torrent some MSU marine squads down, win. Hopefully :p
