Been thinking on this for a while, and thought it could a bit of fun in the long term, and something I am happy to continue all the way to its conclusion. It's sort of a battle between all the big guns of note in the 40K tabletop game. I've restricted it to Special Charcters as it puts a lid on the potential entrants, otherwise we'd need ten rounds just to kick it off.

So I'll be spreading it over four rounds using the normal Survivor rules. The top three from each round will go through to a final round, and the 2nd best finisher of each round will start at 11, while the first placed survivor of each round will start with 12 in the final.

Survivor Rules
All options start at 10, you may -/+ 1 to one of the options with each post, when a option reaches zero they are eliminated.
You may not modify the list again until one of three things occurs.
1) Four other people have posted
2) At least one other person has posted and 2hrs have passed since your last post
3) No one has posted and four hours have passed since your last post.

After placing enough names in a hat to make four rounds of 15 characters, I have used a random number generator, aka as a D4 to place to the participants in each group, rerolling as each group is filled, to make things a little interesting. So all four groups have been drawn and ready to go.

Once each round is compleated I will get the next one up asap, in all cases, I will not vote in the opening post and willl need to wait as par the rules above.

If you meant the last one, it falls under rule 2, at least one other person has posted (two in fact) and its been two hours since my last post.

Its standard Survivor rules, on about five forums I've been on.

So this time we have a :

- 2 hours passed and 1 other poster posted = may post again?

- no one posted and 4 hours passed = may post again?

Was not aware of the change to the variant seen at dakka usually. sorry didn't read it closely enough.

Well I feel sheepish, never noted Dakka was using a different system, after doing it on other boards such as Neoseeker, Heresy and Warp Watchers, I assumed it was the same everywhere, so I apologise for not realising folks here on Dakka where doing it differently. Nobody told me I was playing it wrong in the others mind, as I've been voting like these rules in every game I played, as I 've always come in late, and not read the first post.

I'll continue to keep these rules for this thread and those that follow mind, with the amount of rounds to do, it will let it run quicker.



Oh and aye, as long as its been 2hrs since your last post, you only need one other person to have voted.

No need to apologize. Your system may be faster.

At dakka, the rules were often just copied from the sticky if at all.
I'd say lets see if this runs smoother and we could always improve what we have here, can't we?
