Is there anyway to get primer thats not in a spray can? Because right now i dont have quite enough money for it and i dont have a well ventilated area to use for spraying i cant go outside and do it for various reasons. it would be much easier if i could just paint i on with a brush.

Gesso works well as a brush-on primer.

Gesso is good (use black, it's got additives that are a bit more resilient. No, adding paint to the gesso will not help things, so white gesso + paint = fail).

Airbrush grey primer. And of course it can be brushed on the old fashioned way

Why is it that only those who have never fought in a battle are so eager to be in one? |

It's probably best not to use spray on primer indoors if you don't have the ventilation, since the gases linger.
Unless if you plan on wearing your gas mask indoors for several hours .

Vallejo and Reaper both make primers you can brush on. The Vallejo polyurethane based surface primer is fantastic and comes in many colors. It works great with brushes and airbrushed.
