It may sound like an odd question, but it came out of a club discussion early last week. Prepping to goto a escalation tournment, I realized I tend to bring the same case (I have multiple cases, but I tend to bring the army transport if it fits my army), wear the same shorts, and seem to have a rotation of t-shirts. I don't wear watches to tournments. I bring the same dice, same tape measure. And always seem to end up bringing a book bag.

I tried to think it through. I know I started wearing shorts since the GW GT's down in Baltimore where 1 year it was sweltering hot, and I was wearing cargo pants. So I started wearing cargo shorts to hold dice / tape, etc. The watch, I used to take it off and started losing watches. Luckily i'm a fan of cheap k-mart watchs. And dice, for some reason I always am drawn to the same dice even though I, like most of us, have about 10 sets of Chessex dice, and now lots of privateer press dice. Lastly I tend to if going to a GT, bring my cooler which has pockets that are just the right size for Army books and dice.

Anyone else have gaming or tournment gear?

Probably work

Let's see...

- "The 40k stuff" - List, pencil, army, measuring tape, template/blast markers, so on.
- My "Captain Failure and the Boat of Tomorrow" t-shirt
- Container of hydrocodone (or if I'm out, bottle of aspirin)
- Granola bar or some other lightweight snack
- Infantryman's Uplifting Primer
- Flask of potato vodka, generally Chopin
- Petty cash

That about sums it up. Covers pretty much any circumstance I could run into.

You forgot the shotgun for when the zombiepocalypse starts. Then you will really be ready for ANYTHING.

Few things besides the norm:

- Aspirin for headaches
- Objective Markers
- Money for Coffee/Energy Drinks
- Spare Templates/Scatter Dice (I ALWAYS manage to lose one or end up with an extra)
- 6" GF9 Movement Template

No, I don't have a 'tournament' gear set.

It's just another day of gaming (albeit with often more smelly folks).

I just carry my usual gaming bag. It has my rules, dice, templates and enough room for whatever army I am using.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

THIS!!!

Standing on hard floors and geek talk for extended periods (especially 4+ round days) gives me a headache every time.

Sometimes even at a RTT I get a headache.

Keeping your mind healthy is as important as any other strategy you might have.

I carry superglue, rubber bands, bluetac and a pinning kit. (You never know.)

I do tend to wear the same clothes, though. I have a brown leather jacket, a hawaiian shirt, and a fedora I like to wear.
