As it says on the tin, is the Space Marine Collectors Edition worth the extra £40?
I'm usually all for CE's but £75 may be a bit too much for the Mrs not to kick me in the nads when it arrives through the door unannounced!
Does anyone have it?
Do you regret the extra spend?

In my opinion no.
A 60% price increase (this is in regard to pc being 50 bucks for normal) gets you some colored paper, some foil paper, an audio cd with music that you'll hear in the game anyways, and a plastic purity seal with bits of cloth that might stick to your fridge for a couple days. I'd imagine the magnet is crap and the whole thing will fall off and shatter eventually.
Ever since fallout 3 I've decided I'm done with CE's. The bobblehead and the lunchbox are decent, but the pip boy made in china that was broken right out of the box? No. I should have stopped back when I got suckered into pre ordering a master chief helmet that wasn't a helmet at all.

Hmm that was definitely along the lines of my thinking Necroshea but I do like the shiny toys, not so bothered about art books. After 20+ years of 40K i have more than enough 40k books!
But I do vehemently disagree with you on the Fallout CE though, the bobble head is great (bummer you got a broken one) and as for the lunch box I just love that thing. Pride of place on my shelf.

Blizzard have me by the short and curlies, so I get most of their CE's if it has a warcraft pet, only one I've managed to avoid was Starcraft 2, and that was by a hairs breath and because I wasn't going to play the game at all and due to the Battlenet couldn't sell on the game afterwards once I'd locked the pet to my account. Will be getting the Diablo 3 CE if it has a WOW pet, even though I am in no rush to play the game. Although my main rule is, if it has in game stuff, its worth considering. Hence why I am seriously considering Sants Row The Thrid, have already pre ordered Mass Effect 3, and skipped on the CE of Skyrim, the Dragon model is nice, but that kinda of thing isn't enough for me to order.

The bobble head wasn't broken, it was the pip boy replica that was supposed to be a digital clock or something.
Here's an idea I've considered doing. Get the cheapest version of a game you like (that has a CE). Jump on ebay then buy the extra bits from disgruntled people who paid more for it. Bobble head and lunchbox is going for like 14 bucks right now. Ends in 3 days but there you go. Some people are trying to sell the bobble head by itself for 75+, that's a joke.

That might not be a bad idea, my 2 year old has taken a distinct shine to the luch box so its only a matter of time before it is dented and sans paint.
Like my Warhammer World giant foam D6 or the signed World cup mini rugby ball that have bite marks in them.
