So I have a locally known obsession with burning my own dudes alive at star-core temperatures. So I took the army I thought could fit the most plasma guns, and fit in the most plasma guns!

NOTE: This isn't competitive at all but I really, really want to try it...

I think this list is hilarious; any ideas how it will perform? I know it fails against Land Raiders and Imperial Guard in general, but I think it would eat up assault armies.

I have been thinking along the same maxing lines, but my obsession is with meltas and plague marines instead of CSMs with plasma.

I think your list needs to drop the raptors and fully mechanize all squads. Also the CSMs need icon of chaos glory, otherwise they are really vulnerable to sweeping advance.

Frankly, GW should drop the gets-hot rule in 6th edition, just as they dropped the jamming rules for storm bolters a long long time ago. Let's face it, there will never be any plasma weapons left if each has a 1 in 6 chance to blow up every time you pull the trigger. That is just dumb beyond description.

More plasma for the plasma god!

Would you consider taking a couple of oblits so you could have plasma cannons as well? Or is it purely a plasma gun fetish?

I don't see it performing very well without a means of delivery.

I love the list. One of the funnest looking concept armies I have seen in a while.

The only suggestion I have is put some of these guys in metal boxes so they move a little faster. Otherwise I think it's hilarious. If you can fit 2-3 obliterators in, it would give you some anti-tank punch and you can still plasma the crap out of people.
