I was playing that new game Space Marine and was messing around in the chaos warband color section and i came across a chapter called Skyrar's Dark Wolves. Lexicanum has nothing about them, does anyone know who or what they are?

A warband from the "wolf of fenris " incident maybe.

Their color scheme is in codex chaos space marines (4th ed) page 24.

IIRC the pic of one in the CSM Codex actually shows a guy with SW motifs.

Space Wolves have fallen in the past, so the Dark Wolves are most likely a group of them.

Arguing with some people is like playing chess with a pigeon. You can play the best chess in the world, but at the end of the day the pigeon will still knock all the pieces off the board and then gak all over it.

AFAIK the Dark Wolves are the SW who turned during the Wolf of Fenris incident.

What is the Wolf of Fenris incident?

The biggest indicator someone is a loser is them complaining about 3d printers or piracy.

They'll either be traitors or be the remnants of the Wolf Brothers chapter.

A raid by Huron Blackheart to steal the Wolf of Fenris, a battle barge. It looked like a group of SWs would keep them out of one section until a group killed their allies and joined the Red Corsairs. Which also means it's not how the Dark Wolves came about.

Oh that, I really like that story. Probably the best in the Codex but I forgot about its name. After reading it I wanted to model some traitor Wolves.

It was a strike cruiser IIRC. Also i'm not sure but i remember reading somewhere they left the Red Corsairs soon after... though i may be wrong.

They could have done, but they'd need some new recruits. It didn't sound like there were too many of them.
