Seeing the pics of the new FW Proteus reminds me that a friend of mine has one of the really old plastic ones, unopened (I believe).

He spoke to a GW staffer the other day who told him it would sell for loads, but I have no idea. Said I'd ask around though.

So, anyone bought/sold one of these recently?

Truely unopened ones might fetch a nice price. However, the RT market is really wierd. Sometimes they don't fetch original MSRP, and sometimes they go for stupid high prices.

For the longest time I've been watching them on Ebay. I got a real fixer-upper for $50 USD. Built ones in pretty good shape I've seen go to about $100 USD. An unbuilt one or even mint in package can go to $200 USD, but I don't recall ever seeing it go higher than that, maybe if it was one of those old sets that came with two of them.
