So I had this idea for a fun army where almost everything can charge on the first turn...
Kayvann Shrike -195
10x scouts w/ bolt pistol and cc weapon srgt. has pwrfst - 165
10x scouts w/ bolt pistol and cc weapon srgt. has pwrfst - 165
10x scouts w/ bolt pistol and cc weapon srgt. has pwrfst - 165
10x scouts w/ bolt pistol and cc weapon srgt. has pwrfst - 165
10x scouts w/ bolt pistol and cc weapon srgt. has pwrfst - 165
10x scouts w/ bolt pistol and cc weapon srgt. has pwrfst - 165
10x assault marines w/pwrfist -215
Dreadnought w/ DCCW MM and HF Dp - 150
Dreadnought w/ DCCW MM and HF Dp- 150
Dreadnought w/ DCCW MM and HF Dp- 150
total 1850 points
This list is based of the fact that all the scouts and the assault marines can charge on the first turn no matter what.
Infiltrate 18.1 inches away, move 6 inches run at least one inch and assault 6 inches
the dreads can take out armor and stuff...
what do you guys think?
would this list have any chance in the meta?
And what would you guys do if I got second turn? outflank?

This would be a fun list to play, personnaly I feel it would have issues vs all lists when going second though. Even in reserve you'd just be coming in piecemeal, with some dreads on the board to get shot up.

I may be missing something here, but if you're 18" away due to infiltrating, you couldn't make a first turn assault. Six inch move plus random fleet roll plus six inch assault puts you somewhere between 13" and 18". So unless you roll a 6 for fleet and were just under 18" away to start with you could assault.
The assault marines could do it fine, but the dreads and scouts would be left in the open for a turn.

You also neglected the fact as you mentioned that technically you are 18.1 inches away, which means that even if you are lucky enough to get the 6 inch fleet you can't assault first turn.

I was under the impression that you can't scout move if you infiltrate. Both the infiltrate and scout USRs state nothing allowing or disallowing it...so...I don't know.

You really think they will set up their army on their door step if it is based on tanks?
You really believe you can bet them in cc(or shooting) if it is not?
One squad of 5 with meltabombs in a storm would be interesting.

You infiltrate, then scout, then move, then fleet, then assault. You can get the first turn charge.
I run a similar list and it is SUPER fun to play. The look on people's faces when they are assaulted en masse turn 1 is priceless! Competitive? Yeah, but it has some terrible match-ups.
Shrike List 2000 Points
Unit Description Size Cost
HQ
Shrike 1 195
Chaplain J.Pack 1 115
Troops
Scouts P.Fist 10 165
Scouts P.Fist 10 165
Scouts P.Fist 10 165
Sniper Scouts Cloaks 5 90
Elites
Sternguard C.Plasma x5, C.Melta x5, D.Pod 11 335
Dreadnought Auto Cannon x 2 2 125
Fast Attack
Assault Squad P.Fist 10 215
Assault Squad P.Fist 10 215
Assault Squad P.Fist 10 215
Heavy Support
Totals 80 2000
This list is more flexible. The issue I had when playing this list was that if the other guy was meched up and had decent assault units, you would charge, pop the tanks, then get counter assaulted and die.
Also, if you charged guys who are better in combat than you (bugs, etc.) you die.
If the other player steals the initiative, you die.
If you go second, it isn't as cool, but you can outflank and infiltrate defensively, etc.
The drop pod with combi-weapons lands, splits, then popes two tanks to give your boys something juicy to bite into.
The dread gives you more ranged tank popping ability and the assault squads are ultra mobile with fleet. The unit with Shrike and the chappy hit turn 1 with the scouts.
Like I said, a super fun army to play, just a lot of fun. Everything is crazy mobile, had lots of deployment options. It kicks the crap out out of mech lists, especially if you go first, but struggles with a lot of armies.
I have also tried it with a unit of termies in a LRC. Fleeting termies in an LRC can get a turn 1 charge too, if the other guy deploys on the line.
Give it a whirl though. It is great for a laugh and fun games and it will catch some people off guard in a tournament.

Ya that was pretty much the reason for it. If i could get off a first turn charge on longfang spam or something it would be really awesome, also it would be something most people wouldn't expect.
I will prolly try it some time and hopefully I will get first turn =D

I'm not positive but i'm pretty sure you can either infiltrate or scout move not both. I may be wrong so please correct me if I am.

What happens if they see your army and keep their units outside their transports and surround all their tanks. Each enemy unit should only be attacked by one scout squad as when a unit charges it must take as many base to base positions as possible, this leaves little room for other squads to assault the same unit. The squads you talk about are rubbish in cc which is their only option of attack, with three dreads being ok but will have too much work to do.

this is just a gimmicky army that i would use once in a while for the fun off it. It is not really meant to be uber competitive

Read your rules, guys! Not trying to be rude, but there are a lot of basic rules mistakes here.
Assaulting into more than one unit means yes, you must engage as many models as possible, however, you declare a multi assault and now you engage models from as many units as you charge. How you position your models before a charge is very important. Think about where you want your models to be.
If the other guy is screening, great! That means you get into his units right away. Since your infiltrators go after he deploys, you have the advantage on positioning. Scouts are good in combat, if they outnumber what they attack, they are statistically likely to win. With kraks on stationary tanks, they will most likely destroy them.
Shrike with a chappy and assault sqiad will kick the crap out of most, non-dedicated assault units. Next turn you have ster.guard and 20 more assault marines going in to assajlt where needed.
The army works, I have played it lots of times. It is fun, too.
