Blood-Raging Khorne Berserker

I been playing Chaos Marines for some time as of late and my problem is this. Finding the right Leader that will not poke himself in the eye with his deamon weapon when you need him the most killing your enemy. As of the last 3 games my Chaos Lord in Termi armor. MoK, Deamon sword has poked himself to death 2 outta 3 games and its killin me. Should I just take twin lightning claws (Horus clone) instead, or choose Typhus, Maybe a Demon Prince or Demon?

Khorne demon sword is the worst of the demon weapons. Either twin lc or dp.

I personally love the Bloodfeeder, but that might just be because it's never failed me in all the games i've taken it, and has killed more things than you can shake a stick at, including the old nigh unkillable cannoness (Cloak of Saint Aspira + Spirit of the Martyr for a 2+ Invul), a feat nobody else (I know of) in my GW has managed.
Never rolled a single 1 for his attacks.
Although that might just be because i'm Khorne's favourite.
That said, you're obviously feeling the pain of Khorne's rejection, so Twin Lightning Claws is usually your best bet on a Khorne Lord; 5 attacks (6 if charging) that re-roll failed wounds is nothing to sneeze at.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

This is the truth. But if you HAVE to do a Chaos Lord, then you're close to doing it right: Personally, I prefer the Nurgle Daemon Weapon. Pretty much destroys MC's, very useful against 'Nids and Dreadknights, and you can reroll for anything with a lower toughness than your strength.

I found that a Slaanesh lord has his perks, the +1 to initiativ and giving him Instant Death has let me kill alot of enemy commanders (and other multi wound units).
And you only need to roll 1 d6 not 2

I'd take a DP for the survivability it gets between Eternal Warrior and T5 body. It's an MC and will die horribly if focus fired, but it means other things live if the DP dies to massive fire coming its way.
My favorite non-DP is Abbadon, but again due to EW.

Take nurgleeeeeeee...
It rerolls wounds so is actually way more reliable than bloodfeeder, plus you can massacre MCs. And you get +1T.

It rerolls wounds vs anything T4 or below, and wounds on a 4+ vs anything else.
But yes, I too am a fan of the nurgle DW for that very purpose. A power weapon that rerolls wounds vs marines has worked very well for me. Of course, a nurgle lord doesn't really have much on the spartan prince (wings/warptime )

Would say go for a Prince, spartan is nice and cheap or you can play with Lash if you fancy some Slaaneshi goodness.
Eternal warrior means no ID of your HQ unit which makes a massive difference, they are beasts in CC (allthough no frag grenades suck) and can carve vehicles apart easily too.
Be warned though, it will attract every shot on the field

My prince got massacred by a Hive Tyrant in my last game vs nids, so I am thinking about trying a Lord with Nurgle or Slaanesh daemon weapon for the rematch.

What did your prince have out of curiosity? Prince's tend to be CC monsters, but at the bottom of the list of CC monsters. As in against OTHER CC monsters (TH/SS terms, bloodthirster, Avatar etc) they tend to get beat down. But anything outside of that, they will beat down themselves. Warptime makes them much better though.

It had Mark of Slaanesh and Lash of Submission, both to synergize with a Vindicator and to have initiatibe plus. Which both worked before (against Eldar e.g.) but was nullified since the hive tyrand reduced initiative or something. An interesting question is if warptime would have helped. But I guess it is as you said, it got beaten down by another cc monster.

Yeah, 5++ ain't to much of a save when it gets to brutal CC(better than the Tyrants lack, but still...). Lashwhip causes a model in base to base to fight last, so that's pretty painful too, nullifying your MoS completely. It might have helped, since if you can land 4 wounds on him you would cut him down in one go. But you're relying on luck there. I'd give that Tyrant some piping hot plasma THEN charge with a DP to finish him, but hey if wishes were fishes...

Oh, this time I have 2 more rhinos, so less footslogging and more shooting him before charging. Also now I do not overestimate the DP. Maybe I'll keep him out of the tyrants range and charge it at Zoanthropes or Hive Guards while just shooting the hell out of the tyrant.

high five, guy! That is EXACTLY what I'm talking about . He will terrorize those high priority units (maybe not so much the Hive guard, since they are kinda tough, but hey they won't belt him back and he will stop them from doing their highly valuable shooting)

Slannesh Lord on A bike with blissgiver + combi melta. Squad him with three other bikers with MoN and meltas. T6(4) instant death delivery system. Icon on lord and MoN can also guide in the termicide units or a daemon bomb. I am putting together a list now with these in it. Using the plauge marine models on marine bikes for nurgle and putting lord on a converted ork bike.

In the past I have successfully used a Slaanesh Lord with a Jump Pack and Blissgiver in a unit of Slaanesh Icon'd Raptors to insta-kill a Hive Tyrant. We ran out of time to finish the game, but my opponent essentially gave me the victory for succeeding in sniping his Tyrant, his most expensive model in that game, while still maintaining my units in assault for following turn.
I feel I should run him more than I have, as he tends to perform far better than even a DP for me considering how much smaller he is even in a unit of extra wounds (the raptors). Heck, my DPs don't tend to last past turn two, considering how friggin mobile every other codex is compared to Chaos these days.
Past that, I would recommend: Lord with Slaanesh/Nurgle/Undivided DW or Twin LCs. Tzeentch isn't bad, but I don't have any experience running it, so I can't really give any advice.

While I think a DP is always better, this makes for a pretty good Chaos Lord. Stay away from Power fists and you are good to go.

I tried Lord with wings, MoK and 2 LC. One model is easy to hide from los, can take a ride in transport, or hide in squad. Worked great against devastators, small support squads and the like.

I've had much success with a winged lord/sorc hiding in a rhino, and my opponent thinking he's going to sit with the squad all game only to have him leap out of the rhino and charge a squad on his own. Especially if you can leap over a piece of area/impassable terrain (makes for a great "oh !" moment )
