I've been challenged to an apoc game, and in consideration of what to use I've decided to use my fledgling dark eldar force since my necrons are currently MIA in upgrades and additions.

Currently I'm running:

HQ:
Lelith Hesperax (174p)
Archon (60p with huskblade(35p) Soul-trap(10p), Clone-feild (20p), Webway port.(35p) ghostplate armor(10p) )
Bodyguard: Medysae

Troops:
Wyches x3 squads of 10 (300p with hekatrix(10p), hydra gauntlets(10p) and agnoster(20p) )

Kabalite Warrior x2 squads of 9 (90p with Splinter cannon (10p), Sybarite (10p), Ghostplate (10p), Agnoiser(20p) )

Transport:
Raider x2 holding two squads of Wyches in order to get them into close combat faster(120p with Disintegrator cannon(10p), Retrojets (2 for 10p), Trophies (2 for 10p), Night Shields (10p), Flickerfield (10p)

Elite:
Grotesques x3 (105p with an aberration(10p) and Flesh Gauntlet(20p)

Heavy Support:
Razorwing Jet fighter x2 (145p each with Disintegrator cannon, Splinter cannon(10p), 4 Nerotoxin Missiles (20p), night shield(10p) and flickerfield (10p)

Total this army currently sits at: 1729p

My goal is to muster it to at least 4k so if anyone can offer any help at all let me know

Way more Troops. Get some Wyches. And, a lot more Elites.

Imagine doing a Venom-Spam list for Apoc... My god so many venoms and blasters.
That could possibly cause some carnage.

I agree with Ogryn. You will need A LOT more troops.
Personally with any army I attempt to play I try to focus on one side of doing things.
Either go for a very, very assault heavy army and get lots of Wyches and such.
Or go for a craptonne of Warriors and Trueborn in transports to pump out a ridiculous amount of shots.

Either way you go with it, I would enjoy seeing both style of armies in an apoc sized game.

So many Dark Lances possible.... Hell in Apocalypse imagine an army of like 20 Ravengers headed by Vect outflanking a Warlord Titan and escorts o.O

Although Venom Spam vs Green Tide. Hell yeah, go Venoms!

20 ravagers have more than enough fire power to (odds on) knock off 5 structure points with one round of firing (this is assuming that the av is 12 from the lance property and no saves).

Incubi and Mandrake! Oh yeah and Helios and a Pain engine
