I am sure there is a platonic ideal which we talk about when we say kan wall but I can not say there is a perfect list.
9 kanz, 1 deff, 1mek with kff. Then whatever suits your style. Seriously this will go to arguments about whether snikrot and koptas are any good not about the kan wall itself.

Much like what MFletch is saying.Ii would add that having 2 KFF meks to ensure you can protect 9 kans is pretty standard. I would also say 3 squads of 20-30 boys is a must with nobs and PK BP. Some like the addition of buzzsaw coptas. Some like rokkit buggies.
I would say Lootas are a must as well. They are ideal for popping common transports.I usually do 2 units of 5 in a 1500pt game. Could do more though
I've tried a warboss and added a nob squad with a BW. It works sometimes but often gets targeted 1st. Either way play to what you like. As a "typical" staple:
9 rokkit kans
2 KFF meks
3 boys units
2 dreads (I don't like dreads and are often a point sink)

Thanks for the info. I think the deffdread would be nice but maybe at 2k at 1500 it's hard to find the points. Based on the info I think I will try:

KMB are 15 points more then their rokkit counter parts so not a huge point sink and I will be facing some plague marines and terminators so they give an advantage there.
