I had my first game of Epic for a while this Sunday past, and very enjoyable it was too. My opponant said he'd been experimenting with Heresy-essentially an alternative to Epic set in the 40k universe, but with slightly diffrent rules and using d10's

Anyone got an opinion of it?

Heresy is a fine version of Epic, but is more akin to 2nd Edition (Space marine) where EPIC A has its roots in the 1st Edition.

The gameplay is a liitle slower because of the cross checking to hit scores etc but still if you have the time, it is a good evening's gaming.

In the same style you might want to try Netepic (now Gold). Again 2nd ed but with loads of whistles, bows and general goodness
