Can you give a hive tyrant two boneswords? Or is that rule about having a pair of them solely for the Swarmlord?

The Tyrant does not have the option, so it can not have Dual Boneswords(which would be awesome).

The rule for having a pair of them is used for Warriors and Tyranid Primes actually. The Swarmlord gets his own special rule for having four of them.

I feel like if Warriors and Primes can have them a Tyrant should...that's lame.

Yeah, that's probably one of the reasons people are pissed at Cruddance for writing it-among the damage done to Carnifexes and other things-some lacked options that don't even make sense.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Well, I gave it them anyway. It has two right arms now, but whatever. If my opponent doesn't want me to have them (I'll pay something like 10 or 15 points to have two swords), then I can just have them be scything talons.

Lookin' fur daemons ta' fight!

I honestly feel that the Hive Tyrant should have the option for dual boneswords.
Maybe GW realizes that the Hive tyrant would be UNSTOPPABLE if they let that happen.

Ah, more Cruddace bashing. I miss the days when Mat Ward was the target of DakkaDakka's wrath.

But seriously. The Codex is actually pretty good, and by no means unplayable. It's just quite difficult to use right. When it IS used right, however, it is deadly.

Even then it's a terrible codex, The HT not having 2xBoneswords isn't that big of a deal tbh.

However, even when it's used right it's typically still the underdog. (which kinda stinks, cuz its a newer codex)
