Shameless promotion of the work I have done, but I want objective opinions on the thread I created earlier this year in conjunction with The Great Marine Swap started by whalemusic360-

The mission is this: click any of the spoiler tabs and read what it contains within (pick one that features a marine most importantly). After reading it, do you think that what I have written is believable within the parameters of the
40k universe?
I've tried not to go too extreme with what I have written in what the space marines accomplish, and yet I don't want to make them ordinary either. Of course, 40+ stories and 40,000 words later, it is too late to stop what has become a monster.
A bit of background if you decide to jump in randomly:
This is fluff about a crusade wherein the Imperial Forces are essentially fed into a death trap. The first crusade included 1000 marines plus millions of Imperial forces. The second crusade was no less spectacular (and is the current setting, the second crusade to this world). The first crusade was launched to blunt a menacing tendril of a hive fleet, followed by scouring the planet of a chaos presence. All three forces vanished without a trace in the first crusade. The second crusade assumes the first has failed, and thus was launched to try and stem the tide of what was presumed to be a second battle with the previously engaged forces.
