I was going to just tack this question onto another question I had, but I thought it would be confusing.

Anyway, I have been sculpting a female commisar from scratch (mostly), and I am just about to the painting stage, and I am trying to figure out a painting scheme. One of the things I really want to try is black patent leather boots. This is what they will look like before painting:

They still have vaseline from sculpting in the photo, but you get the idea.

Has anyone else tried this? Is it possible? Are there any tutorials out there for it?

Any help with this would be appreciated.

From a just throwing it out there idea, using the scheme on extreme highlighting from the Dark Eldar, but using greys instead of a colour, could look pretty good and shiny. Alternatively, cheat and hit it with a coat of gloss varnish afterwards.

Yup, Dark Charcoal Grey or a Very Dark Sea Green. Then highlight, or alternatively go for this Chaos Black and then once the miniatures is finished, paint Ultra Gloss on the Boots only.
