Great find, and really beautiful stuff. This guy has got naturalistic dioramas to an art form. Pretty cool that he's willing to share his secrets in video as well.

However as Mad4Minis says, it's not gaming terrain.

Really amazing works. Only downside I could see is that he uses a lot of food items in his creations, a substitute would have to be found for any sort of actual usage. Humidity, bugs, and durability would be major issues with the creations over time.

My thoughts exactly, after the facemelt obviously. That ice technique is so effective yet i cant justify keeping essentially a sugar board in my basement. Definitely following this guys blog from now on.

Yes it is more appropriate for dioramas with that level of detail and intensity. It would be hard to replicate that standard for a wargaming table

However it still gives plenty of inspiration and techniques for upping ones terrain

Not watched the video yet but will do
a great find

ps meant to say I am going to make a weeping ash tree if I can get it a fraction of that willow's goodness, I will be happy

No doubt, the feather leaves on the trees is something that should really be looked into. I might have to try something like that myself. I could just imagine an ice field made out of sugar, wake up in the morning and half the table is gone and the dog is the size of a beachball.

He sold one of them for almost 2 grand. That's pretty impressive considering what it was made of. I'm jealous of this guy's mad modelling skills and salesmanship.

Really nice stuff, I have high respect for anyone who can pull off effects like that.

Although as for gaming, I don't know how many players would appreciate playing on a 4' x 8' table covered with loose paprika, sugar, actual fire, and effects that you needed special photo effects to see.

But really, that's some nice art.

All of that stuff looks really great, especially with the photo effects he adds but like you said it doesn't really compare to something built for the tabletop.

Off topic but I just want to thank you. You're a huge part of why I got into this hobby. I intended to scratchbuild an Ork tower for a friend who had just bought an army and was showing me the models and the fluff. He pointed me to Dakka and seeing your work in the gallery completely opened me up to what this hobby entails. Big kudos dude, thanks for sucking me into this world.

It's too bad he destroys a lot of his creations right away. Not that they'd keep, but they would be cool to keep around. Even just to exhibit.
