Ive based all my guard armies around Chenkov just to be annoying and twist the blade in my enemies side.

But i am going to be playing a 2v2 apoc battle. My partner in crime is going to use Pedro Kantors "Hold the line" to use sternguard as troops. And he going to en mass them and use termies both Assault and ranged and use vindicators.

But we are playing his cousins who have never played his Crimson Fists or my Imperial guard.

What they are using? i dont care this is just fun and would rather not know.

This will raise red flags in most people hopefully it should so my space marine buddy can get everything sqaued away with his drop podding elite army... I have never fought a army useing chenorvok before but i figure a 250 body wall that shoots would focus all my firing on it. I normally only field a squad of 50 conscripts in a game. But my friend recently started a resin copying plant so i felt happy to hand over a few guardsmen to have him a test run. Well to say the least after a week or monkeying around we cranked out about 200 copys of the 5 man blister guardsmen.

My list as follows:

HQ:

Commpany command:90pts
autocannon-medipack

Troops:

Platoon company Chenorov:1500pts
Medipack-banner
Troops in platoon 5/5:
50 conscripts
50 conscripts
50 conscripts
50 conscripts
50 conscripts

Platoon Company Al'rahem:410pts
x3 autocannon weapons team
x3 autocannon weapons team
x3 autocannon weapons team

chenrovok moves him and his 250 lasgun shooting 250 close combat attack blob forward...image a rapid fire range of this. the conscripts are used to get the attention of the enemys while my crimson fist body drop pods this army into key locations. I think a 250 endless wound wave will hold the line for a bit..or the flanking autocannons with al'rahem.
This will be just be a fun battle.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
My friend's army list is going to go like this:

Pedro Kantor

10 assault termies half Claws/hammers

10 ranged termies with autocannons

10 sternguard with drop pod and powerfist

10 sternguard with drop pod and powerfist

3 vindicators

This bit is illegal. Would generally recommend keeping that kind of stuff to yourself.

Well, it's going to be fun moving all those models. They won't do much damage probably but odds are your opponent won't have enough dakka to kill them all.

I would probably use regular guardsmen who can take commissars though, because unless you keep chenkov within 6" (or is it 12) of every unit, they're not stubborn. And they're like Ld7 anyway so you're going to lose all of them to morale checks.

If you desperately want conscripts, get a lord commissar and give everyone LD10 and stealth.

Copy right laws only cover if i attempt to resell said product. Wish is not what i intend to do. Trust me ive look into this after hearing horror storys. But as copying goes its the same laws that bind when people make a copy of a dvd they bought. It considered a back up of that item. It would be like getting hit with copyright laws when you back up your computer.

i'm not sure how relaxed your gaming atmosphere is but.

you can't take sterngard as troops, it makes them scoring as if they were troops, not troop choices I'm pretty sure this is moot in apoc

i'm pretty sure conscripts are part of a platoon you can't take them alone.

Well first of all respect for using Chenkov, it makes for a fluffy, bust often not at all competitive list.
I'd recommend you drop a few of the conscripts (50-100?) and add something that actually can hurt you're enemy (maybe Ogryns or SWS?) in the middle so he has to choose between shooting your replaceable conscripts, who can still bother him in CC, or shooting stuff that can really hurt him but has cover save from running behind your wall of guys. I know your friend is supposed to bring the pain, but you'll need more than a handful of marines for that Maybe you could also add Straken for that juicy furious charge (50 man blobs with S4 I4!) or since this is an apocalypse game, just add a bunch of Lord Commissars to your conscipts squads to add some hurt.

Oh and Grundz, as far as I know apocalypse games allow you to pretty much ignore the organization chart, hell you're even allowed to run a force composed just out of Lord Commissars.

It is apoc, so the basic troop organization doesnt matter. Other than that, can you PM me with how you guys are doing the resin casting. I am pretty interested. I have a few hundred more halberdiers to get together.

Like I had said above I am unable to make any of the copys for anyone due to it braking copyright. but its easy to explain how to go threw the steps of making the cast and pouring it in...many other threads on here and else where explains it in far better justice then i can.

And to answer the person above (forgot name) you can take sterngaurd as a scoring unit if you take pedro kantor his "hold the line" allows this even in normal games.

The reason to take so many conscripts and really nothing else to to tie up the oppents troops and then use Chenrovok to use "send in the second wave" to refresh the whole 50 unit sqaud....but his chen has two orders thats 100 units each turn that comes back ....tyranid swarm players you jelly?

Well I'm usually not one to ask this, but, ehm, what's the point of this thread? You seem to be confident that your list and your tactic are just perfect for what you intend to do and did not actually answer to any of my suggestions. I'm not offended or anything I was just wondering what you expect to hear on the forum...
