Subject: Dedicated transport ork elite units

Hi all,
I'm checking up on something and need some clarification.
I want to find out if there is a way to legally start elite units in what would effectively be their 'dedicated transport'.
In particular I'm talking about Lootas, Burnas, Flash Gits... that sort of thing.
From what I understand (And correct me if I'm wrong here) I can get the effect of what a mob of boyz get by:
-Having a Battlewagon or Looted Wagon as a Heavy Support choice, and just have them loaded in that to start with.
But what about trukks? I cant seem to find any reference to this, apart from as a dedicated transport.
So my question is this:
How Can I have a trukk start the game as an empty "non-dedicated" so that I can have Lootas or Burnas loaded into it at the beginning of the game?
Thanks all.

You can't. Trukks are only available as dedicated transports to those units with the option.

Thanks. So I'm limited to either:
1. Get a unit that has the ability for a dedicated transport (Boyz/Nobz) to let them use it, but they (Lootas/Burnas) cant start embarked.
They (Lootas/Burnas) get in first turn.
2. Use a Battlewagon or Looted Wagon as a Heavy Support choice.
They can start embarked at the beginning using this.
Is this correct or are there any other options I'm missing?
Also:
3. Can a mob or 20 boyz get a dedicated transport?
I cant see any specific restriction of them getting one, even though they cant fit in it...

No, that about sums it up.

It's right there in the Transport option in their army list entry:
"Mobs of 12 or fewer..."

1 and 2 are correct.
3) no, as they can only take Trukks if they number 12 or less, from memory. Its in the unit selection rules for the Ork Boyz

It was right there on the same page. Excellent.
I was concentrating so much on the 'Dedicated Transport Vehicles' section that I totally missed it.

prett much option 1 and 2.
a tactic I liek to employ for option 1 is a group of 3 meganobz to babysit my lootaz/cannonz provides a good cc threat to discourage assaults on them
